Hey I played in a the Rotisserie style league for the 1st time last season and got hammered. I'm back with the same group of guys, and our draft is in a couple weeks. Any advice? Is it true you should draft to finish fourth in every category?

Drew has been a good player since coming to Boston. Yes he fragility can be taxing at times. But it's not like we where not aware of the chances of it at the beginning.

Stat wise they are fairly comparable players. But yes being a FA and being in the Arb process are very different things.

And considering he looked a little flat towards the end of this season, this is probably a legit concern. It's probably why they loaded up in the BP. Maybe there expecting to dial Papelbon's usage back.

I gotta agree there. They have earned it. There knowledge of the situation is much better then mine. Maybe they will meet in the middle on a 3 year deal:dunno:

I'm disappointed the Sox wouldn't go 4 years. It doesn't seem that unreasonable. If they won't go 4 years now in his prime, my earlier statement of Paps going to the highest bidder seems more likely.

I have to agree Jacko:lol: The Sox have good depth at many spots. But Catcher isn't one of them.

I'm sorry, but is Bay chopped liver? I mean yes he is no Manny, but he's is on of the best LF in the league. Who else does Ortiz expect them to get to replace Manny? He should feel lucky they got the caliber player they did. Yes I thought the Sox needed a bat too. They tried it didn't pan out. Moving on. And yes we all know that Tito is never stubborn when constructing the lineup. Ellsbury Pedroia Ortiz will benifit from having Bay protecting him Bay Currently biggest Power threat on the team(typical clean-up hitter) Drew will greatly benefit from having Youkilis protecting him Youkilis Lowell Will have less stress about producing from this spot. Still not a bad #7 though Tek Lowrie Provides nice OBP and speed at the bottom of the lineup. But that's just how I see it. If Ellsbury doesn't pan out in the leadoff spot, put Pedroia there, and either Drew or Youkilis in the 2nd spot.

Who is Jose Molina? Is there another brother I am not aware of? Let's not go to overboard on Brown either. He is what he is. He might be a better option with a bat, but Molina is probably the better option behind the plate.

Burnett for 5yrs/82M is much riskier the Tek for 1yr/5M. If Tek suck/goes down with an injury, it hurts but for only this season. If AJ continues his mediocrity/fragile ways outside of contract years, that deal will hurt a lot more. Maybe not financially, because this is the Yanks we are talking about. Nice way of rounding out your arguments without the verbal assaults.

Burnett an Ace... Burnett has ace stuff, but he's no ace. He's a solid #2-3 option though. Tek may be awful at the dish, but a tleast he will be behind the plate and not DHing at it.
