  1. That's a fair way to sum up Dice-K IMO. He's hard to watch, and it drives me nuts when he's at 100 pitches in the 5th inning, but he gets the job done and keeps the Sox in the game. If some of the Sox prospects pan out, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dice-K shopped around. Maybe in like the 4th or 5th year of his deal. I don't see the Sox resigning him after his deal expires, Boras is going to want 20M a year for him. Japan plays good as a team with their style of play. I would still say America, Dominican and Latin America produce overall better players. But I get your point.
  2. Doesn't look like Kottaras is a lock to stay with the team long term anyways.
  3. Wow that happened quick. I'll be looking froward to seeing what Kott can do. Side not for further down the road, Wagner seems to be having a decent spring.
  4. Posada is an exception. And the presence of an exception establishes that a general rule exists Besides look at him now.
  5. Ya but with in Field & Stream. With that bush he grows on his face I'd have to imagine he would look like a grizzly bear with no shirt on:lol:
  6. I find it hard to believe an agent could be that dumb. But who knows.
  7. I think the main issue is money. Not sure if the Pats can work around that.
  8. Anyone notice there's no response from any of the Yankees guys yet. Even they have given up trying to protect him:lol:
  9. Like a virgin...woo...touched for the very first time...
  10. Yankee fans and Arod will never live this down. You can't script this sort of comedic gold:lol: Such a Douche...
  11. Bard is going to force someone in the BP to become expendable. Kid has been great so far. But I still think he starts in the Minors. It is ST, the most optimistic time of year.
  12. What was his and the photographer's line of thinking? Photographer-" What is the best way we can show how self absorbed you are?" Arod- "I got it" Photographer- "What are you thinking?" Arod- "I will make out with myself" Photgrapher-" Brilliant! Breathtaking! Amazing!.....zippppp.....slurp.. slurp.. slurp..
  13. It's honestly not surprising to see Tek struggling at the plate. He was never an elite hitter, just good. And considering his age and how much wear and tear is on his body, he's bound to lose bat speed. And when that happens at the ML level, your days as a hitter are numbered. Also, I don't think the Red Sox brought him back for his bat. I think they where well aware he could be aiming for the Mendoza line this year. For a comparison, look at Pudge. He was a much better bat then Tek ever was. But he's up around the same age and losing bat speed. And his numbers have shown it. Once a Catcher hits 35, you can't expect them to be able to produce the same anymore. Your best hope is they can stabilize their down turn in production, and hope it falls slowly instead of rapidly.
  14. Wow he actually makes out with himself. This guy makes one horrible choice after another. Thank you Donald Fehr:thumbsup:
  15. What's the over under on how much time it will take to photo shop a penis in Arod's mouth?
  16. Maybe for a financially stable team. But yes it will probably take a decent sized package. But this is all hypothetical situations though.
  17. Oh no doubt BS21. There are a few choice SS in the league that I think they would bring in if they became available. Is it too much to keep my fingers crossed that no one shows up to Marlins and Brewers games so that we could see Hanley and Braun in a Red Sox uniform?
  18. Jacko can't seem to grasp the current market Crunchy. Not surprising seems how his team of choice is still operating by old market standards.
  19. Soriano just turned 33 last January. There is still 6yrs/106M left on his deal. The Cubs would have to take a good chunk of that before I personally would consider it. If they figured out some way to make his AAV 10-12M, I suppose it could be worth it. But thats a fairly long shot scenario. There are other players I would rather they look in on a trade before Soriano.
  20. I think Jed has been slated to be the long term solution at SS all along. They where most likely playing Lugo to up his value on the trade market. Since he is unable to get off the shelf, a trade is going to be all but impossible. Unless someone loses their starting SS early on.
  21. Sorry it's late here, am I missing the sarcasm somewhere? Was your comment about my post good, or did I miss you taking a shot at me?
  22. The main issue is whether or not Kott can catch Wake on a consistent basis. If you didn't have to worry about that, I would go Kott. If mainly out of curiosity to see what he can do in the bigs.
  23. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing coming from Gom;) But I'll go out on a limb and say "Thanks":D
