  1. This is true, I keep forgetting about Lugo. Selective memory I suppose should be to blame:lol:
  2. Good Lord man:lol: More of an energy drink person myself, never got into the brew
  3. Ya I changed it after I re-read it and felt it a bit much LOL
  4. You are being sarcastic right?
  5. Wow, I didn't realize that. The team should really consider putting him there if thats the production the team could get. Maybe Bay 4th, and Papi 5th? I doubt Ortiz would be thrilled with that though.
  6. apologies:D
  7. Well no not at that price. I doubt he gets 5m a season. But I'm sure some team could take a flyer on him.
  8. a700's nightmare continues;) .
  9. http://www.detnews.com/article/20090331/SPORTS0104/903310403/1004/sports Any takers?
  10. I wouldn't be shocked of Bailey was moved for a utility IF. The Sox where mentioned as keeping tabs on a couple guys for the role. Bake from the Rox, and a couple others who's names I don't recall off hand, I'll see if i can find the article again.
  11. He could not supplement a healthy Ortiz. No telling what Ortiz will be on the field now. I think Drew could benefit from having someone like Papi/Bay hitting behind him. Just like Ortiz produced more when Manny was protecting him. Maybe not to that extreme, but you get my drift. But Tito has shown an unwillingness to move major parts of the lineup around, so I expect to see, Ellsbury Pedroia Papi Youkillis/Bay Drew Bay/Youkillis Lowell Tek Lowrie
  12. Ellsbury Pedroia Bay Ortiz Youkillis Drew Lowell Tek Lowrie If Ellsbury can't hold down the lead off spot I'd go, Pedroia Drew Bay Ortiz Youkillis Lowell Lowrie Tek Ellsbury Never happen, but it would be the lineup I would try.
  13. If Ramirez pitches like he did against Philly(He was throwing some sick pitches, with a lot of movement), then I don't see why the Sox couldn't entertain moving him. I like MDC in the pen, but if he can bring in something over more value to the club(C prospect?), then they should listen. Speaking of C prospects, Esposito has looked good this sping. He knocked 21HRS in A ball last season, anyone think he could take over in 2 years?
  14. Ya anyone who doubts Kazmir's ability to be a top notch SP, is in denial. Although his injury history is not spotless. I understand your point Dojji. Most teams don't pitch the same 5 guys through out the course of the season. Starters get injured, miss a start here and there, need rest, blah blah blah. And when something like that happens, the Sox have 3-4 legit options to go to. TB has 1 in Price, after that it's a big fat unknown. And the Yanks have maybe 2(currently on the team or in the system). Jacko would have you believe that the AAA rotation is full of suitable MLB replacements:wink:, but we have all seen what 90% of Yankees prospect pitchers achieve. I think this is what Dojji was trying to get at. but hey I've been wrong before:D Not sure a700, Price is a big time prospect. But I would think having Buchholz, Bowden, and Masterson is more valuable then having Price alone.
  15. Lester had one really off inning and then bounced back nicely the following inning. He had some trouble locating his FB, which isn't to surprising giving what time of year it is. I'm sure he will be able to reel it in when the season comes around. The coaches must think the same if they are making him the # 2 SP as well. Overall not too bad of a spring for the Sox, outside of Tek's feeble swing. But he would have had to probably juiced all winter for anything to change on that front:D
  16. Anyone see Jacoby's shot? I know the wind was blowing, but hitting out of the stadium was cool.
  17. Interesting to see Lester bumped up to the #2 spot. Not saying he doesn't deserve it or anything. Top 3 of the rotation is nasty.
  18. Wasn't Mark prior #1 coming out of college and teams passed on him. I know Minny took Mauer over Prior. I find it hard to see teams passing on this kid though. Although him being such a big SD fan, maybe this whole 50M contract(playing in Japan for a season) is to scare off DC and Seattle so he can end up in SD. Funny, if SD lost 4 more games last season they would be in the #1 slot.
  19. Watching the video looks like hes got a good arm from behind the dish.
