I see you have learned about that little thing called "Karma" Not too quick to boost the Yankees obvious superiority this time around huh? I think this series is over if I'm looking at it realistically. If the Phillies manage to make it to game 7 then all are off. The Red Sox fan in me is till pulling for a total collapse of which the WS has never been privy to:thumbsup:

Considering Melky plays @ Coors East and still wasn't better then Ellsbury in AVG., OBP, SLG, and OPS, I'm going to give the nod to Ellsbury.

Oh to agree with Gom, how my morels have left me.... But it's only because I see Lackey being a bust on his next contract. he's a power pitcher who was topping out at 88-90 MPH against the Yankees. He's never pitched good in Fenway(yes it could just be because of the Sox lineup). And he's going to get a big contract from someone, probably more then AJ money. And I was against giving AJ AJ money. But that's just my opinion.

Well the Yankees look to be on their way to a championship this year. Not surprising really. I guess here's holding out for hope for the biggest WS choke in history :thumbsup:

In all honesty I wouldn't be shocked to see the Sox not get overly involved in the FA market. Outside of the usual "reclamation type SP", and maybe someone like Abreu on a 1 or 2 year deal, when ultimately the price tags for Bay and Holliday go too high for comfort. Next off season is the off season you could see the Sox make a splash in the FA market so to speak. Namely Joe Mauer(if available of course). The Sox could spend some dough still though. As in contract extensions for Beckett and V-Mart. I know your thinking " but you just said they would try and sign Joe Mauer". But after next season the DH/3B(or 1B) spot becomes available. Which V-Mart could slide into, making room for Mauer behind the dish. I would imagine that if the Sox are to bring in any big name player this off season, it will be via the trade.

Oh I know what you meant. I kind of moved on from Jacko's comments, and was trying to talk more about the players in the package instead of bickering whether Hoyer values them or not.

Great post mate. I have a couple reservations about your package though. I honestly don't see SD/Hoyer having interest in Lars, unless Hoyer doesn't like Blanks. And Westmoreland, I think he might be untouchable. But I still think they could get a deal done without him.

What fans? This is the Padres man. They don't have followings like our respective teams. And they don't normally make deals to appease the fans either. Hoyer need to go in and clean house(and I don't mean just trade with Boston either). He needs to change the culture of that organization. They should trade anybody on the roster worth anything that is not in the future plans. Yes they will be young for a couple years, but if done correctly they could be a very good young, cheap team with some cap room. It's not like they were selling out every game anyways.

I don't see SD having any interest at all in Anderson, with Kyle Blanks being their top prospect/Agon replacement at the moment. But everything else I agree with you.
