Damn, was really hoping the Sox get in on Hardy. Surprised so many trades are happening before the GM meetings. Gomez should get a chance to play everyday for the Brewers. He's got talent but hasn't come close to putting it all together yet. I'm surprised the Brewers didn't hold out for SP in return for Hardy.

It's tolerated. You can carry/buy up to 5 grams. They don't really like you walking around and smoking but it's not that big of a deal. But your supposed to smoke at home or in coffee shops.

Actually I believe the "rumored" deal(or one of them) was based around Adrian Gonzalez going to Seattle, Felix going to Boston, and Boston trading prospects.

Ok white flag lol. I'll be honest, I only looked at there stat lines that mlb.com have. I didn't go looking into WAR or Vorp(I believe it's actually best left to posters such as your self:)). You make a fair argument. But in most extensions the player does give up a little money for the long term commitment. Is a 18.5 AAV be a decent deal for both parties?

All Yankee bias aside. Would Wang be worth a flier? I mean if he's healthy, maybe he just needs a different environment. Maybe sticking it to his old team is just the thing to light a fire under his ass:dunno: Just a thought.

I think Damon will get 11-13M for 2 years. Bay will get 15-17M for 4-6 yrs. And Holliday will get 16-20M for 6-8 yrs. Looks like the market might be heading back up. Should be a fun off season :thumbsup:

First off sorry. I screwed up. The 1st thing I did wrong was think Beckett's option was 10M, when it actually is 12M. Why don't I try again:D Listen I think he should get an "AJ" type deal. Maybe a little more since he is signing early. As far as I concerned(and maybe I'm wrong) but Beckett and Burnett are great comparisons when it comes to the stats. Beckett having more playoff experience. AJ starting in 1999, Beckett in 2001. So with that I think Beckett should get a deal for 5 years, @ 16.5 AAV. Maybe add a million more then AJ's AAV(16.5M I believe) for signing early. And Spread it out however. But I think that's a reasonable offer.
