  1. Ordonez had a .978 OPS after the AS break last year. That's nothing to sneeze at. It would be a salary dump so I doubt it would cost much prospect wise. But where do you play him?
  2. Maybe if you put it in "Other Sports" lunchbox... And sorry my grammar isn't perfect Mr. Webster. But when you speak and write in a different language everyday, you tend to make mistakes.
  3. There should be a test to show your mentally competent before your allowed to post.
  4. I don't want to over react to what may be a non story. But this is not what I wanted to hear. Dude has been pushing it in his tenure as a Red Sox. I don't know what his deal is. Hopefully the issue is resolved. Until then I will hold off on pounding " trade Dice-K" drums.
  5. I've got no issues with Manny. Would I have liked to see him leave on a better note? Yes. But that aside, he was a great player to have around.
  6. If he was a good scout, why would he be working for mlbblogs? I'll bet that thought never even crossed Jacko's mind So what if he was a scout more recent. Obviously he's not very good at his job. If he was he be a scouting director somewhere, not working at mlb fing blogs. But of course Jacko will give him all the credibility in the world if he throws in a few more Yankee names.
  7. Took you long enough. You would think when typing the same thing over and over it would come out faster.
  8. Dustin Ackley top 10 this season? meh... Kelley is ahead of Westmoreland only because of West's durability concerns IMO. If not for that, I think they are even, again this is just personal opinion.
  9. It's the norm.
  10. No arguments there mate That was funny
  11. Nice. Can't see ORS minding that amendment
  12. I'm not against them extending him. I just don't see it as likely outcome. Especially if the Yankees are looking for a close. I could see them dropping 5/75M in his lap like it was nothing. And I don't see the Sox matching that to be honest. But hey it's just my own personal view on the situation. Anything is possible. That's a good one.
  13. The state of Bays knees is not for the faint of heart...
  14. If Lopez is available, the Sox should absolutely get him. He is great insurance for numerous scenarios. But I still am not to optimistic he will take a back up role. And I find it hard to believe someone won't offer him a starting job somewhere, even if it is only for one year. I think he would be a Dodger is they could spend any money. And I don't think Hall should block the Sox from getting a player like Lopez. Especially if Lopez is coming at a deal. They could always trade Hall off anyways.
  15. We are on the home stretch of the long off season! Baseball and all it's glory will soon shine upon us all once again! Until then, everyone should cheel
  16. Dojji enjoy Papelbon the next 2 seasons. I'll be absolutely shocked if he is on The Red Sox beyond that. I say it's 70-30 he is on the team next off season. Worse odds if Bard breaks out. He wants top $ and the Red Sox don't play that game. Papelbon will be playing for whatever team gives him 4+ years @ 15M a year. Some GM will be desperate enough to offer that. Hell the Yankees would probably offer that just to take him from the Red Sox.
  17. I have no problem's with Elssbury when he is in the lead off spot. But he does seem to have more pop when he is lower int he order.
