  1. So the Astros are footing the bill and not getting anyone of note back? Ed Wade is the worst GM ever...
  2. Got it from MLBTR and they have all Twitter links at the moment.
  3. Nice call Jacko
  4. Jackson will be part of a deal for Dunn. I'll be surprised if they keep him.
  5. Done deal from multiple sources,
  6. He has what like 5M left this season? Phillies are basically getting Oswalt for 1.5 years for 10M. That's actually not bad.
  7. How much is left on Oswalts deal?
  8. I read also that Singleton could be the other major piece. I believe he is in High A ball, but looks to be a possible franchise type 1B, kid is raking this season for a .944 OPS. If that is the case Houston did well. Assuming they are dumping Oswalt's contract on the Phillies as well.
  9. No Papelbon on Bard today. So let's relax a little.
  10. 7 for 13 in the series lol
  11. Scutaroooooooooooo!
  12. Beckett looks solid.
  13. Pedroia needs to stay out until he is 100%. Lowrie and Hall can manage until then. No need to risk damaging himself worse for the long run.
  14. I don't know if he's that much of a guarantee to be on the team after the season. Especially if he hits the open market. I don't see the Sox exceeding something like 3-4 years at 10M per. And I'm pretty sure someone will top that. Especially the Mets. He's going to have to really want to stay in Boston for him to be here going forward. Not necessarily. If the Sox bring back Martinez and let Beltre walk, they can trade for Ianetta and move V-Mart to 1B and Youk to 3B. But I think that's more of a plan B. Plan A is probably acquire a premiere 1B(Fielder for example).
  15. But isn't he their closer now?
  16. I'm not giving up hope on the kid at all. But until he is back playing, I don't think of him as part of the Sox system anyway. I'm gonna agree with Palodios. They are going to stand pat for the most part. Maybe a BP arm, bench type player. Nothing big. Which is fine.
