I don't care about the steroids either. My view is they where there, they had to perform and they did. If I went an shot myself up with roids it still wouldn't get me to the majors. These guys still had a unique skill and they used it. I feel they still will eventually get in. But it will have to wait until some of the old war birds don't have a vote and the newer generation takes over the majority of the voting. That's just my opinion though.

I'd rather have Millwood then Bonderman. Atleast he is a proven innings eater.

I think that would be a solid move. I'd rather have Jones then Cameron at this point. Yuck, there is probably at least 4 or 5 other SP left on the market that would be better then him. He needs to go to the NL and try and come back from there. He will have a 6.5 ERA in the AL East lol

Vlad is not currently on the Rangers. He's a FA. This move pretty much ends Vlad's run in Texas.

I saw on ESPN(the scrolling news feed at the bottom) saying that Daniels has informed Young most of his AB's are going to be at DH. Young is said to be okay with it.

I'm not holding my breath on getting a pick for Lopez. He barely scrapped together a one year deal last season coming off a fairly good year. He wasn't very good this season. I would be surprised if someone gives him a ML deal. I expect him to get a minor league deal with an invite to ST.

It's a NESN fluff piece, chill. Same as the ones the YES network puts out in the off season for the Yankees. Nothing out of the ordinary to stoke the hype furnace. Don't read too much into it. I see them winning 95-98 games. If they go over the century mark for wins, it will be a pleasant surprise IMO. As far as the projected lineup, I could easily get on board for it

Maybe not as much next season. But Drew is gone after next year. So They needed another OF besides Kalish going forward anyways.

Well yes Lowrie will have a better chance. That's not because of superior talent or something. It's because he only has Marco Scutaro to take Ab's away from. Kalish would be trying to break in with Crawford, Ellsbury, Drew and Cameron in front of him. Kalish will be marinating in AAA this year IMO.

Theo did what he was supposed to here. Whether it turns out good or bad is irrelevant as far as blame goes. He filled a position if need with 1 out of the 2 best players available. He has no reason to think that Crawford won't be a good player going forward. I haven't see any GM, scout or reporter call for Crawford to fall off a cliff performance wise. And I don't see any reason to see why he would. If Crawford bombs, it's not the FO fault. It's Crawfords, and Crawfords alone.

The "right and wrong" is what I was referring to the grease fire as. Trust me. I have been here for awhile. There is one topic EVERY off season that turns into a well let's call it a heated debate. This debate, although in the early stages, is heading down that path. Add personal opinions+ polarizing topic(one side or the other, not much middle ground)+ slow time of year usually= an over debated topic that can't truly be answered at this time and a lot of people butt hurt when their opinions aren't taken as the only possible answer to the debate. Which will devolve into name calling and boo hooing, Yeszir will come in and issue warnings/temporary bans. Jacko and a few other Yankee posters will come in and pick up the scraps and after a couple weeks of everyone cooling off/off doing their own thing, it will be time for Pitchers and Catchers to report. This is pretty much the status quo from right after X-mas- P&C reporting

Dipre I don't actually buy the 0-2 WS argument. I was just trying to find something to be positive with Beckett about Like I said, Lee is better now. But he makes 40%(rough guess off the top of my head) more $ then Beckett does annually, and there is still 4 seasons to go before we can really get down to the nuts and bolts of this debate. But yes season 1 goes to Lee.

1st season standings: Lee- 1 Beckett- 0, notes: Beckett like half of the roster battled injury all season. Lee had a good season, followed by a very good AL playoff run. Again failed to win a WS and got slapped around by heavy hitting Giants, going 0-2 in his starts. Lee team's are now 0-2 overall in WS. Side note: Beckett's team's 2/2. 4 years left for things to play out. I fully admit Lee is better right now. But I believe it is way too early to close the book on this one. Also let's consider Beckett is making 15M AAV. While Lee is now making 24M AAV.
