  1. The only reason I care about the division is that it gives us game 5 at home, and Wang has an era of 2.30 higher on the road than at home. I could care less about the division otherwise. It's nice, but it's like drinking a wine cooler.
  2. Game 7 ALCS...tie game...16th inning....Farnsworth and Gagne, last two pitchers left. Would be an exciting inning, I will admit.
  3. How many wild card teams have won the World Series? This year for example, the two best records are both in the NL West.
  4. Two great games today, one in the Bronx, one in Tampa. Congrats on making the playoffs Sox fans. Celebrate. You earned it. Once again, congrats.
  5. Yeah, but at this point, he's proven he can't do it. I hope Francona keeps throwing him out there in important game situations. At least Torre knows not to trust Farnsworthless with anything less than a 3 run lead. He was supposed to be your bridge. Not demolish it.
  6. Come on, Schilling, foregone conclusion. The real race, and has been for about two weeks now, is you and us for the division.
  7. God I love September/October baseball. Goodness, this is fun, aint it?
  8. Damn it...well, at least it was Varitek, my favorite Sox. LOL! Hopefully, you guys play 237 innings today.
  9. You can't be serious? 14 innings yesterday, a see-saw battle all day today...and you think they rolled over for us? You're starting to sound like...well...a Red Sox fan.
  10. The best part about this thread is going back and reading how many people would take Gagne. As terrible as Farnsworth has been, at least Torre doesn't use him when the game is on the line.
  11. Two wins, four losses. You consider that something spectacular? I have to say, Beckett has been downright filthy all year. Other than that, in the second half, you guys have been average at best. Against the Guardians, you pretty much lose every pitching matchup. Against the Angels, you win with Beckett, lose with the others. Unless Manny comes back and plays like Manny can, you guys are finished before the playoffs start.
  12. There isn't. That's just his choice.
  13. Francona is an idiot. The guy has been bombed [Dice K], he's been tired, it's obvious to me, and I'm a Yankee fan. Instead of taking him out, giving him that mental boost for a well pitched game, he keeps him in when he's tired. Give credit to Pena, to battle back from 0-2 to make it a full count and take Lopez out was huge. This loss, if it ends this way, is completely on Francona. Hopefully we get back the game we lost yesterday. After Beckett, your rotation is a mess.
  14. I salute you, Nostradamus.
  15. YANKEES WIN! THE YANKEES WIN!
  16. This is an absolutely horrible game. It's the kind of game that makes you re-examine your life and why you actually spend time watching this game rather than be more productive with your life.
  17. All I'm getting is audio. Anyone else get video today?
  18. If you do, please post the link. Thanks Rdsxmbnt.
  19. What a great game. We lost, but one of the most entertaining games I have seen since...Fenway, lol.
  20. 1-1...Nice at bat by Young. Ok, I'm out, it's Friday night. Check back with you later tonight, or tomorrow to celebrate our tying the Sox in the loss column.
  21. Nah, we'll show you how to take care of the Blue Jays. Watch and learn, Papelbon.
  22. Can this be the game we tie the Red Sux in the loss column? Go Kazmir. Boo Beckett.
