  1. This guy is awesome.
  2. Just because your sister was sold to a white guy doesn't mean you're an only child. This guy is awesome...he trades insults with me...and ends the sentence with "sir. This guy is priceless. I LOVE IT!! LOL! So do I. He's not so thin-skinned like a lot of the new members of the flaming Red Sox Nation...
  3. Say what you will, but injuries to Posada, Matsui, Chamberlain and Wang, they finished what...8 games behind the Red Sox? The teams are much closer than you think, SOTK. I wouldn't be surprised if the Yankees, Tampa or Boston finished 3rd. Flip a three-headed coin, if you will. The truth is, from the Yankees standpoint, the one solid pitcher they had was Moose. Let's say the Yankees get CC. From a standpoint of production, Moose and the top-tier free agent pitcher they sign wash each other out. Any other pitcher they bring in replaces the immortals of Giese, Rasner, and Ponson. Fool yourself if you want.
  4. Way to go Moose...20 wins and a Gold Glove. I'm surprised Jeter didn't win. That would have been awesome. Just to see the uproar.
  5. ...followed by this. I am not saying you are hypocritical ORS, but a lot of fans are. You had a lot of Red Sox fans loving the Drew deal, but hating what he did with Manny. The way to stop this is to make it so that a commission made on a new deal after a declined option should go to the original agent, with any overage going to the commission of the new agent. That would stop this kind of s*** cold.

  7. They should have a slotted salary system for draft picks. That way, you're salary is predetermined at the draft. Don't blame Boras. Blame Selig.
  8. Holy cow...we agree on something 100%. Why is it not right? THAT IS THEIR JOB. What people fail to realize is that it is the player's choice to be represented by Boras. Everyone knows Boras's reputation in the game. He is all about the dollar. Some players value that more than winning, etc. That is their prerogative. His job is to get the most money for his clients, period. He does it very well. Stop blaming the guy for a job well done. It was Cochran's job to secure a "not guilty" for OJ. It is the same with Boras. They shouldn't be villified [especially Boras, I can somewhat understand with OJ]. Boras, is at least, fair. I would have a problem with him if he played favorites or held grudges. Once a deal is done, it seems like all animosity that may have been there vanishes, and it's off to the next player. Stop criticizing the guy for doing his job well.
  9. Hey Caisade...where did you live in Scandinavia? I visited Finland once....beautiful country.
  10. It amazes me that people still get shocked at what comes out of the mouth of Scott Boras.
  11. Kilo, to put a pic of Palin under a communist banner is ridiculous. That would be equivalent to a picture of Obama in front of a KFC banner.
  12. I know if you trade a player in the first year of a multi-year contract, that player has the right to opt out of his deal. I am not sure with options and arbitration. Thanks for the clarification.
  13. I actually like bringing Pavano back. I wouldn't guarantee him a spot in the rotation, but as insurance, he's not all that bad.
  14. Peavy would want the Yankees to pay a "premium", i.e. guarantee his extension...but not the Angels? f*** him. Enjoy season after season in 3rd place in Atlanta. Enough of players who don't want to come here. There are plenty of big time free agents who do. I, for one, hope the Yankees don't get Peavy.
  15. Can you trade a player who you just picked up an option/arbitration?
  16. Barely..... In reality, I was more interested in starting a thread.
  17. Go away until you get a green card.
  18. As low impact a move as you will see. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20081103&content_id=3661349&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb&partnerId=rss_mlb
  19. Thank you Coco...it's just to keep mass hysteria from talking over. I appreciate the compliment. Sometimes the most obvious fact is the one most easily overlooked.
  20. Isn't Kottaras cured with a shot of penicillin?
  21. Beware the moves you don't read about... Remember...the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox and Angels will be "in" on pretty much every top-tier free agent, if only to drive the price up on the others.
