  1. Visit to Fenway and Boston last week was awesome! We watched he 9th inning comeback on Thursday vs the Yankees from the sports bar, could feel the stadium move after Hanley's HR! Saw both the Friday/Saturday game live, great tickets behind 3rd and 1st base! Spend quite some money at Boylston, Newbury, Faneuil Hall, fan shop at Fenway and in the stadium...Spudboy you were right, over 9 bucks for a beer..lol! Soaked it all in and enjoyed every minute of it! Envy you guys that are able to visit games on a regular basis, especially now with the playoffs coming up. Will not take long before I will return, go sox!
  2. Called it a game after 7.5 innings and went to sleep since it was 12.30am here in Holland. Didn't feel to watch the 9th to see them loose, nice surprise when checking the scores this morning:D
  3. Will do the stadium tour for sure! You think there's any chance for some pictures with the players during bp?
  4. Hi Guys, Been a while since I posted something but happy to be back on TS. Enjoy reading the posts, especially the cynical ones;-) Now the good news: myself and a close friend of mine will visit the game vs the yanks Friday Sep 16. tickets ordered, flight and hotel booked. Staying at The Verb hotel across the street. Will try to buy tickets for the day game on Saturday as well but will do so when we are there. Saw the Sox play several times but never at Fenway, will be a blast! Talk to you all soon! greetings from Holland!
  5. Rangers for sure!Nowhere in hell I would ever root for the yanks.
  6. The same thing goes for the kind of language you intend to use on a regular base, not really suitable for kids either....
  7. Hey guys , Due to a busy schedule at work and home I wasn't able to post much over the last couple of months. As I wrote before I'm a Dutch Sox fan that plays and coaches baseball for over 30 yrs now. Became a Rsox fan in the late 80's when visiting a Rsox'Wsox game in old Comiskey Park and followed them ever since. Visited a bunch of stadiums but Fenway is still on the wish list. Maybe when the little guy below , our son Noah born 4/25/09 is old enough to realize;-)
  8. Good choice to come over here! There's no ESPN over here but NASN is available through cable.(if you didn't know already) I'm a player/coach a team in the south of Holland and involved in baseball since I was 5 years old. In one of my previous posts you can read which stadiums I visited and that Fenway is still on top of my list.
  9. Goedemiddag terug, Ik woon in het zuiden vlakbij Breda en werk in Vianen. Ben je een 'US native'relocated naar Nederland?
  10. Tigers - Yankees - M's in that order.
  11. Thanks for your kind replys guys! Looking forward to have a good time here.... Of topic - Did any of you ever went to the RS fantasy camp?
  12. Hi Red Sox fans! My name is Marc and I'm 38 year old RSox fan from the netherlands.I coach/play b'ball here in Holland for more then 30 years.Through b'ball I was able to visit the US for the 1st time in the 80's and the 1st stadium I visited was old Comisky park @ Chicago. It was a WSox - RSox game with Boston winning 14-8.From that day on I kept following the RSox and needless to say , times were rough for many years! Just like the most of you I went nuts in 04 where the curse was finally broken and the sox won their first ws since 1918.Not the ws but the ALCS v our biggest rivals was the highlight for me.I have been fortunate to see the sox play in Chicago,Baltimore and Detroit but never been @ Fenway. I am planning to schedule a trip to Boston somewhere in 2010 just to visit the city and see a couple of games v the yankees. Greets from Holland to all of you! Marc
