  1. So we pound a solid pitcher in Carmona but cannot touch a pusballing rookie? Strange. 7-0 right now. Beautiful
  2. 4-0 vs Carmona. The offense is hot today and Tex is en fuego
  3. They're a good team. I predicted 90-95 wins. I stick by that. But they did just run train through 3 pathetic offenses
  4. Quit whining. Seriously, your s*** starts fights, ALL THE TIME. You helped turn this place into a graveyard by driving away a ton of new people with your s*** and now you are being a hypocrite saying that others do the same. Why don't you tuck tail and leave again. You whine about how I and some others do harm to this site. Well, I've been here for 4 years and since my return, this site has survived my "harassment." But over the past yr that you have been here, a bunch of solid posters have left, mostly because your s*** propogates others to act like an *******. I have received 3 PMs from respected members who have essentially gone elsewhere or faded into the background because it isnt worth their time fighting with you. So why dont you do all of us a favor. You've seen some others hint at your decrease in activity as a good thing. Well, it is. Try decreasing it further.
  5. Your pitching looks really good when you get to play Oakland, Seattle, and the toothless halos. Only Texas is a good offense.
  6. Not sure if too many people think he's a #1. His stuff doesnt really indicate that. He's more of a #2.
  7. It's been kinda quiet on the Yankee front, which means something is gonna happen shortly. My guess is the Yankees might actually go out and get a bat. With Robertson and Mo turning into a solid 1-2 punch at the end of the pen and with the likelihood that Hughes will be out there as well come playoff time, the Yanks might hold out on the pen market. Mostly because the Jays are asking for the moon for Downs, and some of the teams with the better pens are still in it (namely SD). Girardi has been using the DH spot as a resting spot for some aging sluggers, but come playoff time, having Cervelli or Thames or whomever in that spot essentially creates an easy out. My guess is that the Yankees might focus on a guy like Lance Berkman. He's having an off yr for him, but the OPS is near .800 and his OBP is in the .360 range. His power is just starting to come back as well, and in NY, that RF porch could help him some. It's the classic Yankee move. Going out and getting an aging slugger at the end of the yr to help the offense, like we did in 96 with Fielder and 2000 with Justice. And the price would be pretty minimal. Berkman is still owed $6.5 mil for the rest of the yr and has a $2 million buyout at the end of the season. My guess is that Houston wouldnt as for too much
  8. I am also very intrigued by what Theo is gonna do from here on out. He not only has to be active this trading deadline, but he has a very active off season coming up.
  9. Yeah, CC got no help today. 2UER due to the errors by Cervelli and Cano then a third run scoring after a "triple" that hit off the heel of Granderson's glove
  10. Jeremy Hermida, lol
  11. depends on the CT and with the report from Tito, I highly doubt he is in Boston on August 3rd. He'll have his CT on friday which will allow him to perform baseball activities again
  12. We hit the flame throwers well cause they typically have minimal control. It's the control, soft tossers that we struggle against first time through. If we face the kid a second time, we'll pound him
  13. He'd close eventually. It might be another 3 yrs the way Mo is throwing
  14. Soft tossing control pitcher that the Yanks havent seen before. A recipe for us to be shutout. And CC has been porked thus far by our D
  15. Hughes was up there when he got to the pen last yr, and he came right from the rotation in AAA
  16. The question still remains people. Are the Red Sox buyers or sellers at the deadline?
  17. Clay is finding it here
  18. you need to buy it from mlb.com
  19. Buch better find it soon, or he'll be down by 3
  20. Buchholz isnt sharp again. That pitch to Matsui should have been hit to Pomona
