The pitching injuries have been too much to bear. We'd have been okay if CC and Kuroda pitched to a 4ERA or so and ate innings, but CC looks completely incapable of doing so. Kuroda has shown flashes, so I think he can do it. But losing Nova is big and then losing big Mike, especially with how he had broken out, is painful even more. I thought Nuno would hang in there, but after his last start, I don't know how you can throw him out there. Our best SP prospect isn't ready to handle a full game yet (Banuelos) and we're pretty thin in the upper ranks in terms of starters. I also have no f***ing idea why we keep throwing Thornton out there. The guy has been a complete disaster and we still use him every f***ing game. We just lost Kelley for a little while also. Right now it is Tanaka, Kuroda, and the merry band of cluster f***s. Add to that the fact that McCann has started slowly, Beltran is now injured, and our middle infield has been abysmal, and we're in trouble. But hey, looks like we might have found a diamond in the rough in Solarte
