  1. I'm glad he's done. He's been an auto loss of late. Bring up Adams
  2. Rumor is the Rangers are willing to deal Hamels and Darvish. I seriously hope Darvish is traded. That would remove the pick comp this offseason when the Yankees sign him!
  3. Strange indeed. We dealt Tyler Webb, a lefty rookie with promise to be a solid reliever long term to the Brew Crew for AAA 1b Garrett Cooper. Cooper was a 6th round draftee out of Auburn in 2013. He's progressed through their minors on a reasonable pace. This year in AAA, he has hit 17 homers with a 1.080OPS, albeit in the PCL, which is a notorious hitters league. He's also hitting a ridiculous .366 with a really low K rate for a power hitter. Should be an interesting trial period for him here. He slots in immediately at 1b for us. I won't hold my breath as PCL numbers are typically taken with a grain of salt, but so be it. Cannot be worse than watching the s*** that has been there previously
  4. You should deal him. His father is a weapon and drug trafficker. What makes you think he was raised on the straight and narrow?
  5. Swihart isn't hitting at all in AAA. What makes you think he should be promoted for hitting like a sack of s***? I think he is done, personally. I think the ankle injury was more severe than initially reported. I know he missed time with pain in the ankle again. I wouldn't be surprised if you hear about offseason surgery for him again, or even in season surgery. There's a damn good chance his trial in LF ruined his career
  6. Quintana has been a hell of a pitcher for awhile. Pissed we let him go for nothing. He's 28 and from 2014-2016 he averaged nearly 5WAR. Even in a down year, he's on pace for close to 4WAR in the AL and had been trending up. The Cubs were willing to give up two top 100 prospects, one of which is top 5 in all of baseball.
  7. If Devers doesn't debut positively this year, then DD will not enter 2018 without insurance for a rookie flop at 3b
  8. Yeah, I'm on the Bour train after last night. That guy has a swing made for Yankee Stadium
  9. You're not dealing Bogaerts
  10. The C's overlap on the front end and the Pats overlap on the back end. If the sox suck, fans Who would tune in in May or June after the C's are eliminated don't tune in and those that did, tune out in August as preseason football starts
  11. DD took over a last place team with a brimming prospect pool and turned them into a first place team for 1.5 seasons. That's not easy to do. Henry saw the fan base was being lost to the C's and the Pats and if the sox were on a 5 year plan to contend, the revenue would have been awful in those five years. While Henry is shelling out big money, the team is making money hand over fist due to their success and the valuation of the franchise has never been higher. Henry's ROI is through the roof.
  12. Freeland has a no-no through 8 in COL. he's at 116 pitches. Do they let him finish??
  13. The way you wrote that, Barnes should be used in high leverage situations
  14. And Headley's HR is going to be called foul f***!
  15. Morrison is the better hitter right now
  16. Chase Headley gives NY the lead
  17. We will likely be the top bidder for Darvish. Whether he signs or not will depend on his preference. We have CC and Pineda going off into FA. Tanaka will likely not opt out. Severino and Montgomery have earned spots in the middle to upper portion of the rotation. Adding a lockdown ace like Darvish and promoting Adams seems like the right choice.
  18. LOL, yes, there is plenty of time to re-stock the cabinet. The problem is, you're not going to re-stock with premium talent when you're making the playoffs every year. You're going to have to connect in the INTL arena and maybe develop a few lower draftees into something of use. Let's put it this way, picking at the back end of the draft is going to make it very difficult to re-stock and one of the things about a strong window is that you will have less in the cupboard
  19. Frazier goes deep again. He might stay up when Hicks comes back. May be time to say goodbye to Jacoby
  20. The Padres are trying to entice the Yankees to bid for Brad Hand. They want Torres, which is a definite no-go. The Yankees are pursuing a trade for Justin Bour of the Marlins. He has big power and a good eye and while he is 29, he is under control for awhile. The price will probably be steep, although I would assume Greg Bird would be involved in the deal if one comes to fruition.
  21. They should promote him to Pawtucket soon before he sees the Fens
  22. You need a bat. The production from 3b is abhorrent. If Prado hits 5HRs and has a mid .700s OPS, he would be a massive upgrade
  23. I have been touting Prado on here, but I guarantee the Marlins would give him away if someone took his contract
  24. Jorge Mateo is back on the scene. After a punishment like treatment in High A, he was finally moved to AA and he has dominated. He's hitting .435/.527/.783 in 12 games in AA. He's brought his aggregate slash up to .268/.326/.455 with 31 steals on the season. If the bat carries from here, he will be back in the top 50 by season's end. He is a toolshed
