  1. Great pick in two ways - I like what he does for your defense and I have IS's proxies, so now I know he gets a guy he wants while keeping my #1 and #2 players still on the board
  2. At the trade deadline the So knew they were going to be without two of their best three position players for the rest of the year. Can't fault them for not wanting to give up any assets for that.
  3. I'll take them. I won't look at them until after I pick.
  4. Sweet run of picks. I like the Jackson and Suggs picks. Y 228 on the clock? If coco or MSU could update the chart for me that'd be huge, haven't been able to access the site much
  5. FWIW, the Tampa owner said last night that they were "absolutely" going to be cutting payroll next season. You can kiss Crawford, Pena, Soriano, and maybe Bartlett and others goodbye. Doesn't seem to be a strategy I'd want to adopt, suck for 15 years, and then make the playoffs twice, and then self-destruct your own team...
  6. It does no good to answer the second question after I answered the first in the manner I did. Once again, for someone who is punding his chest so much about how badly they needed to fix the bullpen, you offer no alternatives.
  7. I believe this team makes the playoffs if they don't miss three months of Pedroia, two of Youkilis, and whole seasons for Cameron and Ellsbury. Yes, the bullpen was good enough if not for the injuries.
  8. What resources has Tampa used? Years of first round picks, taken near the top of the draft, all pan out at the same time? How is that using resources better?
  9. You're sucking the Yankees cock over a hypothetical title?
  10. I tell you what a700. Keep lining for dan duquette because his administration sure won us a lot of world series titles with an all world Pedro Martinez and a in his prime nomar garciaparra. Oh wait, they didn't win until it was Theo who constructed the team? Never mind.
  11. No I was wrong i think Flynnatic is up next
  12. Who's up? YH? he has until 6 PM to pick.
  13. Saturday is a pretty terrible pick. Had Mangold made it back to me he was my choice. Peppers is a good pick.
  14. I agree which is why I set the new 10 hr guideline before round 3. Chart on the first page should be updated please let me know if I missed anything.
  15. I think we give MSU another shot - he's a pretty regular poster (and a mod) and seemed to be real interested in this - I'd feel bad penalizing him so severely especially if he has had a crazy few days at school.
  16. Big Ben is a perfect example of why I wouldn't have gone QB in the first round if it weren't for getting a top 5 pick. He's awesome value as a 3rd rounder, just a notch below the elite QBs taken in the first five picks.
  17. James Harrison was the other player I had debated when I ultimately went win LaMarr Woodley. He's a great player but I was considering the short and long term when I made that selection...he's on the wrong side of 30 for me. Still, I was very very close to picking him.
  18. I agree. I think it'll be at least six or s en rounds before we see these teams taking shape.
