  1. jones case has become undefendable the guy is lawrence phillips and cecil collins with a bigger posse the kid from denvers in a box and this cock insists on running with the bad boys and playing with guns good thing most of these guys cant shoot for s*** with the hardware theyre firing racist?? no unless things have changed the #1 killer of the young black male is still the young black male and that my friends is the sin of it all when the shake down artists like sharpton become apologists for this mans behavior whats racist is the mindset that his behavior is acceptable and understood because of his upbringing....im not familiar with his backround but i know of some great people that came from the worst possible conditions and many athletes who overcame misery that we could barely fathom in our comfortable settings. terry glenn comes to mind although you wont see him win any good citizen awards he was orphaned and on his own at 10 with a mama murdered and a missing dad of course hes had his issues off the field but i applaud him for getting his s*** together and making a decent career for himself after his unceromonial departure from here most dont get it together most end up like tony collins, another patriot who had drug problems hes from south miami and 1 of 15 children with multuple dads he went to school with my cousins in dade county and his youngest brother had my cousins wife as a teacher....' 'SORRY MISS CAMPBELL I BE LATE TODAY MY NEW DADDY MOVE IN"" i feel the #1 problem in not just the black but poorer communities is babies out of wedlock and no males in the household..... its so bleeding hard on single mothers it just aint fair my dad wasnt much of a role model but i knew damn well if mama had to reach out to him for assisting my behavior justice would be swift and severe kids can physically deal with their moms at 8-10 yrs old and in a lot of cases its the older siblings who raise the kids while mama works her ass off overcoming hardships is difficult but a 23 year old millonaire doesnt qualify as a hardship case as far as im concerned hes a f***ing idiot who will be in jail or in the morgue soon enuff if he insists on f***ing with the guys who carry guns and enjoy using them
  2. i wonder what side of the bandwagon mike lupica and joel sherman will be on in tommorows papers now that the lead is back to double digits
  3. please im still paying off a note i took out last fall after detroit gagged in a pathtic forgetable series jeff weaver turns into koufax david eckstein wins the mvp and didnt hit a ball over 275 feet their pitchers made the most incredible errors i have ever seen on a pro team and they did it at the worst moments and they did it frequently it was as if they tanked on purpose they won 83 games in the worst league in bball but also showed the world that if you get there you got a pop, even with jeff weaver getting meaningful innings
  4. josh bard was hitting cleanup for a while and they just moved on chicagos barret?? tonite mike cameron is 4 with bard 5 jose cruz jr is hitting 2nd and we cut him last year that park is built for pitching and runs are a commodity peavy has great #s but becks dont take a back seat to anyone these days at 10-1 and a dominant 10-1 at that those west coast teams all play in gigantic parks where the over unders are always 8.5 or under, most of that has to do with the lack of O and the style of play. we line up better and should handle these guys 2-3 i would think
  5. i like his experience over anyone in the minors at this point
  6. that colorado team has played the best ball against the al east as anyone in the league where did these arms come from?? jeremy affeldt and latroy hawkins wouldnt inspire confidence but theyre starters have been effective would they package helton even if theyre in it for some depth??
  7. i dont have time for the personal ******** as much as i want to play some other time kids anyways the nite i said arroyo pitched well he gave up 3 runs in 6 ip a quality start as they say and ya theyve been few and far between for arroyo who is on the worst hitting team in mlb last i checked i know arroyo is getting knocked around and i understand he isnt a guy who will be a stud i am not blind and i can read however understand this he did throw 230 innings last yearafter signing a home town deal that was very generous to us he was traded for what amounts to be a 5th outfielder who has been a bust whether its his contracts fault or not. put arroyos 30?? + starts on paper against the jj johnsons and the other f***ing scatine we had out there and we have a team that wins 10 more games i feel. thats not unrealistic the guy won 14 in 05 and had an era under 4.5 or around there he loved it here he was too goofy to be frightened by the yankees and he got corholed by the front office because his contract was short money and he was easily movable. the reds toss around quarters like manhole covers and game him 12M per for 3 years?? i think?? they were happy with him pena is a sox throwback phil plantier rick lancelotti sam horn etc... a big strong guy who cant hit a curve ball cant catch and makes rob deere look like a contact hitter with schilling and foulke and clement and a s*** load of questions in the bullpen it was the worst time possible to trade him and we did and we paid of course late season injuries finished them off but at the break we were still in the race but had no arms left to get over the hump pena will hit 35hrs given 500abs but he wont get them here and im not sure anyone club will tolerate his lack of patience and fielding skills it was a failure any way you cut the cake
  8. what can you say about the consistant efforts we're getting from the jules 5-4 5era and 75 ip is enormous hes essentially kept is in every game and he hasnt put an opposing player in a stretcher as of yet, consider what we threw out there every 5th day last year and you can point to tavares as one of the reasons we're so much better. he doesnt have great stuff and was never considered a starter but has really done well since we gave him the ball when we were finished last summer this prick would pitch every day if you asked him to and the innings hes been eating up take a s*** load of pressure off the bullpen. i hope he can stay healthy thru oct
  9. that douchebag that does the yankee games should be beaten publically mancow is another f***ing jerk off that should have his larynx cut
  10. no im stupid youre a genious do you jerk off to action shots of theo epstein playing the guitar dressed in his grunge flannel shirt?? i bet you know all the words to tessie dont you.
  11. how much money are we going to be paying other teams short stops?? this, above all of theos f*** ups, ranks at the top of the list how many more shortstops must die in boston
  12. by the way great job by the moderator who shall now be refered to by me as simply ""THE DON"" quiet ruling his empire using his capos to do the daily work until its time to make the final decision effecient, proffessional and f***ing ruthless with the effeciancy of a lebanese knife man hired out for contract by the sicilians to make sure the job got done right the 1st time. i like this place 95% of the posters know more about the current game than i do and i watch about 30 hours of bball a week. there are younger guys who are in the know but maybe a bit naive and lacking in history but they are polite and respectful for the most part arguments occur daily but are never carried over or made personal for the most part the degenerate baseball addicts are patient with the others women on here are treated like ladies even if they vote republican and have webbed feet again great job by our Don and if there were a ring to be kissed consider it done DonYesirano Capo di tuti capi as they say over on prince street anyone know why the mets and their juggernaut lineup score 6 runs a week?? my god theyre futile
  13. we're still playing ok schill got torched and the O took another evening off we got youk manny papi pedroia and lowell consistantly producing tek is tek and we can take .270 with occasional pop and a decent obp the rest of the crew?? jesus christ lugo .211 crisp 221 drew 236 pena 238 hinske 175 and cora falling to .288 from 400 in 2 weeks it seems am i being unreasonable by suggesting that each of the above(not cora) is a minimum 50pts below reasonable expectations? i figured lugo for .275 with speed and 80-100 runs, honestly i did i also figured crisp would bounce back from a real nasty break in his finger he hasnt approached anything that resembled his 1st month on the field from last spring and its evident he has lost his confidence....we can hide a dead bat if the others are bringing it but....well we have drew and with him hitting behind the best 3/4 combo in 4 generations you would have to think that by accident hed get 100rbi i have no clue what his issues are and what scares me is i bet he dont either expect some improvement for sure but how much and when it begins is anyones guess pena is pena he will be the same man in 5 years i feel the guy is begging for 500abs but he cant hit consistantly enuff to make up for his juvenile impatience and horrifying outfield play..i wouldve given him a pop to make the starting 9 especially with all the young talent we have as well as eric hinske on the roster instead they went for drew anyways we're all rooting for him but he cant get it done day in and day out nor will the front office and tito give him the ab's that he needs to develop its a catch 22 that 1st place teams shouldnt be dealing with and i figure he or coco is moved in july the fact that crisp is a fairly solid glove tells me its pena who will be moved for a journey man outfielder and a flame thrower for the pen ala jay payton or an aubrey huff type or something similar for the end of the season run he cant be happy here when he knows hes capable of 30hrs we cant be happy knowing he is more than likely to K with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs as opposed to getting him in via a sacrifice or whatever
  14. ya that ""i bleed dodger blue"" ******** is nonsense all the f***ing mets fans who got on the 86 bandwagon were life long dodger fans in the late 70s early 80s in 88 it was hillarious watching them morph from blue and orange to ""i love orel"" in a matter of a 7 game series the f***ing mets beat la something like 11/12 during the season and won the east by 15-18 games and had 100 wins but orel heshiser went insane in the last 8 weeks of the season and the dodgers who were huge underdogs beat the mets in 7 with hershiser throwing 9 shut out innings in game 7 of course my hatred of the mets was so much more real than the dodgers i rooted for la as if they were playing the yankees the world series was another huge upset the a's had it all from speed to power to starting pitching and a lites out bullpen they dismantled us piece by piece, inning by inning and this is when raja clemens officially began his courtship with david stewart that a's team was so very impressive from rickey henderson to carney lansford to our dave henderson as well as mcguire and canseco la had an exhausted staff and a banged up hoss in gibson,no real big time names or guys with staggering #s i never felt more solid in selecting the a's even with orel going 58? scoreless that same day was the 1st notre dame miami battle in southbend as #s1-2 and the irish beat the canes.... we got loaded and i got real ambitious laying in a ton of $$$ on the a's la went up 3-0 and if im not mistaken canseco hit a granny to give the a's a 4-3 lead and the ball to the untouchable eck..... gibby changed all that and i still get s*** pains and have to look twice every time i hear scullys voice when i am not prepared for it
  15. perhaps mj didnt the cards win 83 games last year as jeff weaver turned into sandy koufax? you get there 1st and anything goes as we all know
  16. christ i hate vin scully the call of gibsons homer in 88 sounded like the funeral director calling out the families to get into the car cause its time for church i have him on now is he on lithium? he should be locked in a room with tommy heinson and the ghost of johnny most with a drunk harry cary in a black robe holding court.. anyone else miss johnny most?? anyways it is a classic example of the different passions for the game in the east and west
  17. the dodgers have their own issues and crosses to bear along with a legacy of some of the worst, most obscene deals in the sports history. forget about kevin brown and the jet or darren dreifort or the fact that they dealt young petey for essentially nothing they opened this offseason up with the juan pierre signing and this s*** storm of huge coin for mediocrity began i am not a jd drew fan by any stretch as we all know on this distinguished panel but there aint 3 people on earth that would move him for pierre in a straight up deal dollar for dollar salary wise i hate the dodgers but i know frank mccourt and half the team are sox cast aways so i do follow them as i have the bball package that keeps me in the loop where as in years gone by the only time id see la is on an espn game.. theyre competetive as is the entire league gammons said it best 5-6 years ago when the new parks were being built by smaller market teams such as sanfran and sandiego zona detroit etc... he said something to the effect of ""build a pitchers ballpark, draft sturdy big assed pitchers, sign middle of the road starters who can keep the ball in the park and then get an offense that can manufacture runs with a bit of power and you will compete"" the west usually has 3 teams alive in the last 10 days of september. this has been the method used by the west with the glaring exception of the rockies who seem to be turning it around a bit, tonite anyways.. however when i see pedro feliz and ray durham surrounding bonds, josh bard hitting clean up in sandiego and tony f***ing clark as the 4 in zona i can only giggle at the idea that theyre in the same league as us..... the dodgers,if schmidt gets back to form, should win that league going away.
  18. it seems to me that sanantone is toying with them gibbons got shut out lebron is human those 2 gigantic stiffs ilguaskus and the kid from kansas equelly suck and are ineffective sanantone may lose a game but i dont think it will happen this cleveland team maybe the worst finals team in history
  19. arroyo looked good last nite he is what he is a 200ip with a legit era of 4.5 in the al and 3.5-4 in the nl cla meredith?? no worries there,he isnt that good sure, theo took it in the ass but im under the impression he enjoys getting f***ed to tears
  20. over the past 13 summers ive learned to love wakefield he eats up innings like crazy, there will be a spell every summer where hes unhittable he will also give up the farm from time to time he is usefull, very usefull and cheap his absence last year was big, very big
  21. fire theo show your intellect here show me 1 post where someone alluded to matt clement being better than pedro so we can collectively crucify him. if you cant then kindly go f*** your aunt suzie
  22. does he resemble a fat toad?? y'all oughtta deport his ass
  23. theyre infinitley more prepared to lose samuel than they were branch it would just be nice to have this guy inked up and happy for a couple of years these guys have eyes and see what the nate clements and dre blys of the world are making the pats understand his value as well offering him 7.7M which i think is pretty good money i get a kick out of these guys talking about pressure feed a family of 4 on less than 55K per year and then discuss pressure sitiuations with me
  24. i never questioned jd drews ability just his heart courage and commitment to the team. the hottest hitter on the team sat for 46 year old randy johnson last nite?? did his little brother call him a pussy??
  25. they have a system and god bless em they stick to it it cost us a title last year it may cost us a title this year if we have the duane starks of the world playing dback for us and again we'll be right there battling it out in the forseeable future but i hate the fact that the business end of the game directly effects the people performing for us on the field and for the record randy moss doesnt do much for me we did get some talent, lots of talent, in the wide out department but randy moss is a f***ing jerk off who will either get 1200 yrds and 15tds here or he will be a gigantic pain in the balls who gets DNPCD quite a bit talent wise hes unreal but reche caldwell outperformed him last year its always the wideouts and the dbacks that are insane
