  1. 2-7 5 era?? about what matsusaka wouldve had for the reds this year. it took you 15 months to find a reason to like this trade so i suspect youve been holding this in for a long time. however arroyo will pitch more innings than pena will play for a reason sure hes had a couple bad starts this year on the worst team in the nl central but what exactly does pena bring to the table where you justify trading a guy who pitched 230innings with a 3.5 era last year?? we gave up a 200ip with a 4.5 era who took the home discount to pitch here we gave him up for a pile of s*** we cant move anywhere, nobody wants him he had his shot last year to make his bones he failed he has had plenty of playing time this year and hasnt produced.....again every now and then the people on board who are easily distracted by shiny objects see him hit a ball 450 feet and they think they have the savior on the bench and that he needs the appropriate playing time to blossom.... you guys should be royals fans if you want to see tremendous prospects who have failed in their careers nite in and out... they forget that he K's every 2.67abs they forget he cant hit a breaking ball they close their eyes and pray ""I THINK HE CAN I THINK HE CAN"" on routine fly balls hit his way arroyo is having a bad year,no doubt but dont blow yourself over wmp and his miserable production because nobody wants this guy and that includes theo epstein and tito francona had they hope for this guy jd drew would be in the national league where he belongs and pena wouldve gotten the gig here full time
  2. cant hit .220 and lead off for a team with payroll of our size not to mention the fact that 6 shortstops that we let go in the last 5 years are playing for less money(with the exception of lassie garciaparra) and are dwarfing lugo offensively and are considered better defensively. i think freddy sanchez won the nl batting title last year but hes at 2b?? i think hanley r won the rookie of the year and david eckstein won the mvp of the post season together they cost less than 2 months of lugo i dunno i like the occasional spark lugo gives these guys, obviously i would like more than hes given hes intense and emotional and plays to win and i think he brings his #s back to somewhat respectability before the fall.... if he dont?? theo will have 23M per wrapped up on 2 guys the lowly f***ing dodgers wanted no part of to show his bosses.....
  3. in 1984 gary hart was a front runner for the democratic nomination for president he was young, handsome and articulate and also had a taste for women he denied everything ala clinton and invited the press corp to follow him around dumb f*** this is why many of you dont know who gary hart is he got bagged in miami on a boat called MONKEY BUSINESS with a tall blonde named donna rice
  4. as long as they have sammy""pass the suppresetta"" palazzo they wont win s*** oh and their bullpen seriously takes it deep in the ass so deep their kidneys bleed
  5. im not sure its impatience as much as it was forewarned by everyone who doesnt have a face cloth sponging off theos balls
  6. no s*** eh luca the baseball players ought to hire private I's to follow the press corps around and then reveal what they know to the competeting newspapers that'll end this ******** rather quickly i hate the non baseball ******** its meaningless to me if i gave a f*** about their personalities and their off the field behavior i wouldnt be able to watch a minute of sports
  7. no they dont budge unless its seymoure who is indeed more valuable than samuel however if they budged and rewarded a big time player in branch then we win last year no doubt in my mind last year we had 0 wideouts by the way this year we're not so vulnerable at d back but still.....
  8. did i just see ozzie guillens hair turn straight and gray all in .5 seconds?? he suffers and probably deserves to
  9. hey mom 1day atta time and this too as everything else shall pass so im told cabrerra was smoooooooooth we dealt hanley after letting him wallow for a year when he was ready i was told by some guys who laid the sod after the stones concert that they kept hanley away from manny due to mannys negative laisez faire attitude?? if hanley works as hard as manny he'll be in the hall of fame if healthy anyways i dont know about the veracity of it all but pellys goombah went to yale with theo and theo and brian farrell are still real close so i get some of this ******** gossip from fairly decent sources...plus my lil bro works in the same building as MLB and NFL headquarters and often dines with their legal people as hes represented a s*** load of pro teams in his legal career...most of the s*** i hear is nonsense some of it?? like arn tellems confession about nomars paranoid psyzophrenia, the balco indictments and a recent defense contract that hasnt been made public yet i am sold on 100% i hate the non baseball related issues because they take away from the game and that in itself is horrible the fuking post is disgraceful for outing arod then chasing him from ny to boston to chitown just to get a word of misery sent his way....why?? it sells i guess but i would also assume most of us dont give a f*** anyways feeling good on a thursday evening and i love this outlet to empty my mind
  10. good evening miss jamie hows the balls of your feet treating you ce soir?? characters? well we had a few but d lowe was the guy who was completley disowned petey wasnt really dumped but no one, most of us included, didnt really cry over 4/54 for him as he couldnt beat anyone in the east, tampa included, never mind ny damon was different cabrerra was stupid
  11. by the way folks despite chicagos lineup looking a bit worse than milford highs opponent in the semis this weekend its still a valid and unusual feat to beat these guys 3? in a row is it now?? the bronx men are gellin and are in any race be it wild card and yes... the division....which isnt won or lost in the 1st week of june as ive said we've been in 1st place on 6-1 every year since 98 with the exception of 04... miles 2go but i love the sox starters to hang in there for the division title at least now if their guys who we pencil in for .300 and 100 runs start coming around we got a good thing going here boys
  12. someone compared jd drew to mussina?? mussina is a cerebral selfish douchebag who can no longer dominate but can still eat up effective innings mussina has earned respect for over 10+ solid mlb years there were years were i would take him in the al over everyone not named pedro i dont remember clemens beating him when he was in baltimore and raj was here in the post season 10 yrs ago he was unreal you can compare some of their anti social anti team behavior but performance wise mussina has actually done some solid s*** year in and out while our man hasnt put together a 150 game season as of yet
  13. he had a horrid 2nd half but i for 1 was glad he was moved out of the al east cause he seemed to be a pain in our ass he seems to contribute and be in the middle of those manufactured innings but he has been a disappointment #s wise, theres no debate on this matter based on #s alone that said we all know its more than #s mark belanger was a career .215 hitter for baltimore and he wouldnt get 40 rbi a year those 40 came against the sox after the 7th inning in close games it seemed his dp mate bobby grich was similar,25 hoppers that would go between the 2nd basman and the short stop but wouldnt go over 120 feet, usually tying or taking the lead in those at bats... oakland had that prick walt weiss who owned our asses but only in close games with runners in scoring position we had marty barrett in 86 bat .450+?? in the series ray knight and that other ********** wally backman did us in the yanks with girardi and speizio were huge components in the yanks post season success hockey fans will remember claude""he was looking"" lemieux the man wouldnt get 3 goals in 82 games in may he would lead the league in scoring #s lie lugo hasnt done what hes capable of doing but i dont consider him a complete bust as of yet
  14. is tom berenger catching and willy mays hayes in centerfield for chicago tonite?? who the f*** are these guys??
  15. drew came outta the box very strong he was also the #1 pick in the draft for a reason hes got it all from time to time when he feels the urge we got him for ever 3 months ago i said i would stop the whining about him and give him unconditional support and i still bang my head against the stone pillars when i see him in our uniform i'll be ok as long as theyre playing .650 its days like this when you need him to do something and you get nothing is when the burning in the belly starts and the rolaid supper aint cutting it
  16. samuel,a D back, outscored the entire wide receiver corp in the playoffs last winter. this league is built on playmakers,we were short a couple last year and ended up watching indy play the bears for the superbowl that rightfully shouldve been here. samuel should take the 7.7M that would be smart he has no leverage outside of pointing to Kraft and BB and reminding them that we were 3 yards short of winning the superbowl last year and it was their genious and greed that allowed branch to walk... i think troy brown can play corner still cant he?? he wont be here next year at all
  17. when a pitcher has feet problems at 21 thats a red flag theres no running, cutting or diving so how did he get hurt??
  18. somehwere on this very forum people who supported the move for this guy are quietly puking. what was it last nite?? the fear of cy young contender joe kennedy? sure 14M per you dont want him to see a lefty lets see how theos men are doing this morning crisp .229 slugging .313 lugo .221 slugging .320 drew .224 slugging .311
  19. omar visquel says it never ever happened to him not once ever but what would he know??
  20. yeah i know luca and 67M would be in the bank for a guy who would actually contribute to next seasons effort and thru 2010 but over the entire worlds objections f***ing theo knew better than the entire baseball world and moved on this career ****ing f***bag this will hurt for years to come unless mrs drew finds religion or gets the fear of god placed in his heart physically maybe lowell youk and tek can get him in a room alone and explain the facts of life as jon lester sits on a throne and passes appropriate judgement on what constitutes pain and injury?? i spend too much time on this subject but i really cant help myself you see guys like bryan cox come back and play 2 weeksafter smashing their tibia in guys like brad radke who pitched with a broken arm and a shoulder hanging down to their balls as his career ends...same for curtis leskanic who never pitched after his yeomans work in the 04alcs you see rodney harrison play an entire 1/2 with a broken arm you see this lester kid and then guys like damon who have bones sticking out of their feet and still play.... then you have this guy cant go today coach, got a severe case of bloating and i dont feel very fresh today somehwere ned colletti and john schuerholz and tony larussa are having a great laff over little theos bold 70,000,000.00 payout to this 1/2 a faggot
  21. good to platoon a 14m per outfielder who we penciled in for 25 100 .300?? lots of protection for manny as he sits on the bench..... this is larceny in the real world jon lester should shove a louisville 38 up his f***ing ass out of principle
  22. another great effort last nite 7ip 1 earned?? ya
  23. lots of current holes lots of impending holes as well where to start and how far do you want to go with the rebuilding?
