i think hes soft because he hasnt been on the field for over 146 games in a 10 year career and only 3 times has made 140. he's been out of the lineup for reasons that i feel dont warrant time off example 1 being the 24 hour case of vertigo. examples 2-10 are the constant aches and pains that prevent him from taking the field,from the mild quad strains to the tender hammy to the pulled groins hes a career .280 hitter with limited power who gets paid like a 45hr guy and gets treated like a diva. 5 out of 10 years he has failed to play 130 games hows that skewing an argument? thats a fact that you seem to ignore when discussing jd drews courage and ability to play with the slightest pain. so 1 year he got hit by a pitch,what happened the other 4 years? he's tender and it aint from diving into the stands or colliding with infielders dont take this personally you seem be sensitive in this jd drew saga we got him,hes ours,i'll live with it and hes playing well now but based on his history we can expect him to lay down for a couple weeks before the season is over. thats idle speculation based on career performance and nothing else. god willing he will stay in the lineup and continue ripping the piss out of the ball. hes in the right locker room to shine and play thru the nagging injuries that may have kept him out of the lineup when he was in places like los angeles and st louis and even atlanta. nobody missed jd drew when he left these cities.. the fact that nobody else came close to bidding on him when he opted out of los angeles should justify my argument that yes,jd drew has a history of being soft and not playing thru pain and the rest of baseball wasnt going to spend 70M on a guy who cant get on the field on a regular basis.. let me be clear i want him to succeed because i am a sox fan and dont give a f*** who is in right field so long as they produce.
