  1. in 99 we cheered the then world champions manager, joe torre,as he took the field for the american league here in boston. we were 1 with the rest of the american league. in ny i wonder if they understood that the sox and yanks were on the same team tuesday evening.
  2. hes a winner,no doubt about it... neworleans will be better, tuffer and more experienced with him. the west looks like its decaying just a bit,Utah,Nawlins and the Lakers will be fighting for the top with Phoenix and San Antone just getting a little older and a little slower...I have no idea what happened to that denver franchise, they appeared to be on the cusp of doing some great things...then they got a.i...a man who never won anything but a scoring title and all of a sudden they cant play .500 ball...losing camby is huge, hes the only guy on that team that can rebound and block shots...
  3. arent you banging this kid lynda?
  4. based on raw #s and fielding mark texeira is turning into a poor mans youkilis for 5xs the dough. he may indeed rip up that right field in yankee stadium....but then again we dont know the new parks dimensions yet do we?? with arod approaching immortality perhaps they make left field shorter?
  5. it really is a shame that so many nyers were pissed off at a ******** story by marky mark feisand that they werent able to enjoy the best game ever between leagues... hopefully MLB will understand that the bronx isnt a place for the allstar game nor are the fans deserving of another....they need to keep the game from that flowing cess pool permanetly
  6. Bonds is available bb
  7. kilo, your man crush on jd drew is surpassing that of brett favre.. i figured you to be in wisconsin with those 300 fat and sweaty flannel wearing chicks that smell like old milwaukee, bratwurst, cabbage and cheddar while wearing favres #4, demanding the governor force greenbay into bringing him back into the fold... hey boss, its been a while...comme ca va?? the attitude on board went 180 just as jd drews #s did..if he was myred in a .240 3-28 season he wouldnt be getting the universal love....except from my man kilo.... i almost came on last nite after drew homered but i didnt want to be called a johnny come lately so i minded my manners....
  8. with the yank season hanging by a thread i suspect this is the issue that will distract their fans from their starting pitching woes and their pathetic #s with risp lately. lets play some fkn baseball what am i going to bet tonight?? wnba? id rather f*** a fry o later
  9. denver f***ed up a promising future and now they lose what bit of muscle and defense they had with the long man going to losangeles.
  10. i was in chicago for the nd airforce game last november the next morning we were starving and came across a bar behind wrigley so we saunter in around 1030am and proceed to hit the bloody marys....around 5 oclock we leave and my friend decides he needs a tatoo...so hes getting inked up and im in a bar across the street that was obviously a sissy bar but anyways im f***ed up and i start in with the bartender ""chicago has the nicest people in america,i cant believe how genuine and cordial all of you are in the midwest""....and the she he who was serving me says""chicago is full of *******s,if you want to meet nice people go to st louis, when we say good morning in st louis we mean it"" i said to this one chic with the sandberg jersey ""You must hate steve bartman"" she says to me....""SIR,WHY WOULD I HATE ANYONE I DONT KNOW PERSONALLY""....i slinked away and realized i was subhuman compared to her i recommend all to visit chicago for an event of some sort at least once. quite frankly i cant wait till i get back
  11. shemp matsui out judas damon....""my shoulder hurts and i wont be coming back sunday"" damon, the walking poster boy for HGH and have we noticed how he never missed time till the roid testing began? hes done as a full time outfielder and his last contract will be his ...last contract nobody is paying this guy 5 figures anymore
  12. bb you're always a voice of reason and decency despite your twisted allegiance. i dont wear sox gear in nyc unless all i have to put on my declining hair line is a sox hat. i dont invite altercations....since i turned about 35 and found that i didnt heal quite as quickly the midwest is full of nice people and i found chicago to be a great sports town that doesnt get quite as angry over the rivalry s*** as the men in the east do.... the sox yanks thing is unique but there are people in philadelphia who would crucify christ again if he wore a giants shirt to an eagles game....they have a police station and court house at the bottom of the vet so they can process criminals quicker. philly is the land of the angry people picture providence xs 20,easily the most vile sports fans in north america
  13. mark feisand single handedly caused this nonsense by his article yesterday but paps gives himself a large bullseye due to his mouth....and then he brings his wife to the bronx ny?? do you think people in the bronx give a f*** about his wife? if youre a sox player you understand this mindset before hand...this isnt a sox yanks game where theyd be 15-20,000 sox fans in attendence, this is a ny party and its to celebrate their shrine. they felt paps insulted rivera and were pissed off... lets not pretend we're above this in boston... ask jomama kidd how nice the boston fans treated her when she watched her hubby play against us. ask dave kingman how many ball bearings he took off the back when he played for the yankess ask larry barnett, the ump in the 75 series, who needed a police escort in boston, FIVE f***ING YEARS AFTER HE BLEW THE CALL how classy the boston fans are... last fall outside gillette 2 buffalo bills fans ended up in the ICU ward at beth israel after getting tuned up by a dozen pats fans after the game...they wore bills shirts to the game and got the s*** beaten out of them for it please we're not exactly up for sainthood here. i see paplebon as a loud mouthed fun loving guy who is a s***** dancer but a dynamic teamate and awesome closer... i love the kid and really love the fact hes ours but he needs to understand when to shut his f***ing mouth....and now he mentions his wife??dont go there jon boy, dont give them more ammo than you already have.... she best stay far away from ny if they play another game this year that matters,it will only distract him. bb the bronx is an overflowing cess pool, jerome ave smells like an unflushed central park public toilet on a humid july afternoon, the fans, usually covered in mustard ,, body hair and metal pierced nipples really embarassed themselves..not because of the paps thing but because they wouldve rather lost the game than see jd drew win the mvp award....they didnt enjoy what was the best game ever played between leagues and thats a sin....and the real sad thing is last night was the final event that mattered in the house that harry frazee built..
  14. i dont buy it. i see his #s as being the same or worse as in years past.. hes 1-3 with a 5.47 and thats awful for a reliever but the real troubling thing is the bbs,18 in 26ip?? thats 6 every 9ip or worse.. 18bbs 22ks in 26ip 2008 in 06 he was 2-2 with a 6.63 30ks and 15bbs in 38ip that earned him an 18 month tour of northern rhode island what am i missing here sir? improvement??.... where?? id like to think he will improve but sometimes a change of scenery is required... this year he has gone 5 scoreless innings in a row twice, which is nice what happened over the other 18 ip is what im talking about.
  15. texiera is hitting .270 and is watching the allstar game at home. exactly how much are the yanks going to bid on him?? giambi is out hitting him. why would the sox consider this move unless they are of the mindset that ortiz isnt coming back at 100% and they need the lefty bat? why pay tex 5xs more than youk?? unless theo is trying to turn 1st base into the shortstop position he should leave well enuff alone. craig hansen needs another organization to regain his mojo... his command is toast and although he has pitched better this year than in the past he still seems to lose his focus at least once a nite..he isnt to be trusted and this is his 3rd summer of detail so if he dont have it here now he isnt likely to get it here ever... i figure hansen and coco and maybe a youngster moved for a relief pitcher who can be trusted whats eric gagne doing in milwaukee these days? too bad he sucks,im rooting for milwaukee in the nl this year
  16. wade milller?? me and paradise city were at his lone redsox victory against atlanta whenever that was
  17. halliday is a beast and is easily the best in the a.l this year
  18. as a neutral observer i wonder how the brothers fredo will handle the pressure in the next 2 weeks if the yanks stick to the young guys and arent players in the trade market. i forgot who pointed out that a prospects highest value is at the deadline when the also rans are looking to dumo salary for youth and bite on the unproven phenoms. its not out of the realm of reason to think that hughes and especially kennedy were more valuable last fall than they will ever be in the future... same thing with craig hansen and the sox a couple years back and i have a list a mile long of sox younguns who busted before they made it here..our karma has changed under this ownership group for whatever reason...we've had good health and better results from our pitching in the recent drafts and ironically the 3 guys we traded for petey were the only 3 prospects in that time frame that produced anything in the mlb level outside jeff suppan
  19. eric milton? his last effective year was in 2000
  20. when jjohnson was brought in david wells was our ace and lenny dinardo was our 2. schill was shelved, arroyo dealt for wily mo and the rest of the crew was either hurt or plain pitiful. his 1st start was against miami and he didnt get out of the 2nd inning if i recall. i do remember it was a friday night and a 12mile ride from my house to framingham was all florida needed to blow it open
  21. hows jd drews back? do we have enuff ice in new england to keep this guy on the field
  22. pat maholm is .....he's not very good and shouldnt handcuff the yanks hey theyve won 5 straight since they were on the brink of disaster last week losing the 1st 2 at home and they showed their grit by scratching out a couple of big wins against boston then slapping the upstart rays around. they still need help. good to see posada rip girardi a new ******* today in the press i think the veterans hate this guy with a passion and arent afraid of publicly stating such http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/2008/07/10/2008-07-10_source_joe_girardi_catches_heat_from_jor-2.html
  23. pedro sucks and he has the balls to be looking for a contract next year? hes done nothing in 3 years except get paid and rehab his arm, foot, quad, calf and big toe. its sinful watching him out there monday was his best effort of the year to date and he gave up 2hrs in 5.1ip. its sad to see this once dominant pitcher become the laughingstock of the league these days.
  24. sometimes this is the type of game that ignites but as the guy above said,i think we couldve hit the twins pitching yesterday...gardenhire is a good game manager and seems to hang in there every year despite working for the cheapest prick on the planet..
