  1. i used to take the bus to shoppers world and steal 10 speeds then ride them home and sell them to a cop who ran the bike shop...
  2. bb if my balls were on your chin....never mind i sort of like you
  3. ive always liked this guy and despite not bringing home the gold in the bronx hes been pretty effective, well consistant anyways...check out the competetion,he seems to have easier starts than f***in clemens did,ny has been on fire but their competetion is about to go up a few notches in the next few weeks...we shall see if these guys are for real or are pretending. personally i respect their vets enuff to worry about them, all blustery ******** aside. i just think theyre run and surge is due to primarily to a funky i/league schedule as well as some guys like mussina ,farnsworth and other arms really pitching within themselves. ok thats about as nice as i'm prepared to be till the end of october im not sure if the anything goes section is up and running but i'm playing dumb. faaaaaaaak ny faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakem season starts tonight the green house of pain will be electric and i predict melky cabrerra will have ball bearing marks on his arse from some fired up bleacher fans who have seen about enuff of this resurgence...
  4. you see the difference between a 93mph fastball and a 96mph fastball? bucholz had his, which was a foot high and outside deposited in the bleachers delcarmen threw his by the same hitter bucholz was supposed to have better velocity than this, playing tagg with penthouse centerfolds would certainly explain his lack of ahh stamina and therefore velocity
  5. thats because you have a mouth like an unflushed public toilet in jessup georgia.. how are ya babes?
  6. http://www.nypost.com/seven/07232008/sports/yankees/posada_told_he_needs_surgery_121089.htm looks like hes trying to gut it out but he wont be effective if he hangs on. nice investment,52M for another 1st basemen/dh who wont see the field for perhaps 1/2 the contract. i think molina is solid but he too isnt a spring chicken posada was a sox killer,so sorry to see him miss us
  7. i reiterate that this seattle team is just fascinating in their futility. oki has found his groove evidently we got a double edged dilemna,we need wins today but we need fresh arms in october i dont want paps or oki burnt up seattle should be a good choice today with a struggling buckholz and no paplebon or okajima available.
  8. could be a september spark like bucholz was last summer
  9. torres best work came in his last 3 years. the yanks are playing well against the scatine of the league which they had to do.. i heard michael kay say ""FARNSWORTH HAS A NO HITTER GOING"" ohh 500 friggin times last night. why hasnt some one put this unmitigated heathen ball washing sycophant out of his misery with 2 to the ear??...i would enjoy the game much more if the cheerleading section of yankee baseball could be silenced until they actually accomplish something, the YES network should have someone with testoserone doing their broadcasts.
  10. nice effort by the dice man who cometh large. seattle is just what the dr ordered for an exhausted pen and a shaky start to the 2nd half. i figured with bedard, washburn and the guy going today as well as a solid pen that seattle would be in the hunt in the west...theyre disgraceful and easily the biggest underachiever in the game with san diego and colorado being close behind.
  11. they really shouldnt f*** with anything offensively. when ortiz come back friday we're then clicking on all 8 cylinders and veritek. whether or not they resign ramirez is a question for november but for now why trade a future hof mid season unless you want to f*** with the karma of the current world champs? david ortiz and jd drew want him hitting cleanup, mike lowell wants him hitting cleanup,I want him hitting cleanup...the only people who dont want him hitting cleanup are 200 miles southwest of here.
  12. oki carried a hi 3 era in japan japanese pitchers tend to do well early on in their careers and i think the funky delivery and the way they hide the ball is the reason for their success. we didnt expect another sub 2 era but we didnt expect futility either perhaps we over worked him? timlin has been f***ing useless, delcarmen and hansen very inconsistant and these 2 guys are pitching for their careers now, they have a lot to gain by stepping up but neither has grabbed the bull by the horns and taken over the setup role...with everything in line to repeat this fall id hate to see it blown due to the fact that we dont have any kind of middle relief. that said, the schedule is favorable and i have no doubt they win the east. can they win the entire thing? ya,i still think theyre the most balanced team in baseball with the best front man in becks and now a young lefty who has been dazzling all year long.
  13. lots of anxiety out there the yank fans have hope and the sox fans are fukindisgusted over the weekend sweep by the halos. the sox have 3 in seattle then entertain the yankees with beckett opening up friday. the pen has been exhausted due to the shortcomings of an 11-1 dice k and the rookie contigency that hasnt been all that good this summer.. its hard for me to get worried here when the puzzle gets finished with a fkn middle guy is eric gagne still available?
  14. there are some boston media members who have s*** on manny from day 1. gerry callahan, jonjon dennis and steve buckley come to mind as the worst but bob lobel, since being s*** canned at our nbc affiliate is now reduced to backing up fred smerlas on the radio he eats it
  15. hes another underachieving high priced ******* since theyve made ponson and richie sexon yankees, i assume theyre packing it in for the summer. the trade bait they do have lost a lot of its value in 4 short months of failure. i assume the ceiling is high for phil hughes but ian kennedy isnt going to get you much since hes sucked so bad. i dont know what cashman is thinking,i dont know what the fredo brothers are thinking either but if theyre packing it in they should bring a youngster up to give him some time. if they are indeed trying to make the playoffs then victor zambrano shouldnt be on audition after getting waived by the rockies with a 9.00 era in the minors...sexon and boom boom ponson would be the last guys i would reach out to for help in any case...
  16. ive followed the nuggs since the aba days when they had david thompson and dan issel. in there heyday of the 70s and 80s ive seen them score 150 points in 4 straight games. they had issel english vanderweigh thompson and other run and gunners they were incredibly fun to watch but you never got to see them until the playoffs or an occasional game on national sports on sunday.. george karl never won s*** in his career and has had some great teams to work with. losing camby is devastating and i dont see them rising above it this year melo needs to grow up.
  17. bob lobel was married to susan wornick im not sure who had the penis in that marriage but if i had to bet....bob lobel takes it in the ass
  18. as i said previously, his attacking the old guy was by far the worst thing hes ever done on this ballclub and this story isnt over. you can fight teammates but clubhouse employees and the like are off limits. bob lobel takes it in the ass
  19. with the suck of the national league in front of him i bet this guy thrives in philly. im personally glad hes gone,if im not mistaken this guy did well against us. philly,in 1st place with cole hamels and jamie moyer leading the charge, needed an inning guy who can throw strikes and the phils did their fans proper by getting this guy while in a 1st place tie with the mets..prospects are nice but you need some sore of pitching, even in the AAAA league, joe blanton fills a desperate need in the land of the angry people...philly can contend but i still figure the mets to win the east...
  20. they fear him more than the fact that 23% of nyers are walking around with herpes festering in their pants....thats what we refer to as INTIMIDATION over here on the eastern edge of worcester county...i see him producing large in the 2nd half, especially if he gets to hit in the ortiz/drew lefty sandwich...anyone else here think jd drew will come back to earth when ortiz comes back? by coming back to earth i mean slugging less than .700 and having solid yet non spectacular #s? no knock on drew here but his explosion did coincide with him hitting in front of ramirez,a place where every real hitter dreams of being slotted.. if drew does 30/100/.300 with an obp of .375 and 100 runs i will be absolutley thrilled. i believe it could be a real breakout year for him after his june performance and the a/star games mvp in his pocket... his confidence has got to be high and should be since his october and blistering late spring explosion. lets hold hands and pray this boy avoids the nagging issues which have prevented him from being a 150 game player....who knows what this guys#s will look like with 600abs...
  21. this has been a weird year for manny,a man who usually dont say s*** even with a mouthfull of it.. i preferred him as a quiet guy who let his bat do the talking. will he be here next spring? id hate to think otherwise
  22. pop and richie sexon dont have a lot in common these days.
  23. carmello is a far more versatile than iverson, its obvious that the addition of iverson was not what carmelo anthony needed,he needed a big man. the nuggs have or had plenty of guards that could play anthonys regression i feel is due to the ball being in iversons hands
  24. shocked to here that carl pohlad would f*** a kid over for money...simply shocked. this ass hat, cheap f*** should be beaten with an axe till brown gravy fills his shorts and runs down his leg...why is he allowed to own a team? shouldnt MLB make a move on him as they did to maggie schott and the expos owner? f*** him why does he own this team considering he refuses to allow it to succeed? he is probably the wealthiest man in the game yet he f***s his club up each and every year the money is on line....
  25. a new meaning to ""eating chinese""....
