as far as hansen throwing 9.2 innings
i saw paple throw in his 1st start against the twins last summer,he went 5maybe 6
he had ""it"'
he challenged hitters,he was confident that he could get anyone out and he was after all of them
i see hansen nibbling on the corners and getting behind in counts
you have him being a 10 year stud after 9.2 innings which i find brutally optimistic
thats what makes these boards fun, difference of opinion is healthy instead of the constant ballwashing that goes on over on the yankee and boston globe boards
i see him as a youngster who dont have faith in his stuff just yet
you have him being an elite setup guy who is untouchable today
im of the mindset that you go for it all every chance you get
as far as zambrano and willis go??
neither has done anything memorable in october that im aware of,i figure zambrano pitched against the marlins in 03 but willis didnt.
i cant find any backup on it
zambrano throws heat, willis has an awkward delivery and is coming on after a slow start
neither is as consistant as jon smoltz
i do know that smoltz is 16-4 in the playoffs and is one of the best clutch pitchers ive ever seen in my life and is still throwing 95 with 90mph sliders and a changeup he just developed
he'll go to the pen
he can start
he can do it all as far as pitchers go
nothing is guaranteed
but
here we are in july as one of the favorites to win it all and if,iiiiiiiiiiif the chance comes up to get this guy i say do it if its only a matter of losing craig hansen
