  1. I liked a poster at soxprospects idea to change things up. Trade Lowell and (crisp?) for Hunter Trade a package headed by Bowden, + others for Teixeira 1. Pedroia 2. Youkillis 3. Ortiz 4. Manny 5. Teixeria 6. Hunter 7. Drew 8. Varitek 9. Lugo
  2. Ortiz is batting .362 .457 .595 1.052 with runners on and .350 .437 .583 1.020 with runners in scoring position. Mannys are down, but Id have to look closer to see as of late since Manny's been hitting extremely well lately after an awful April.
  3. SS, but Youkillis isnt nearly as valuable in the #5 hole. He'll get some hits but his skill set is much better for the #2 spot in front of Manny and Ortiz and hes been more effective in the #2 spot as compared to #5: Batting #5: 42 AB, .286/.360/.381/.741 (they'll go down after tonight) Batting #2: 161 AB, .354/.447/.553/1.000
  4. Hes awesome, best pitching prospect in the minors, his K numbers are sick.
  5. fwiw, drew is hitting .296/.333/.556/.889 in June
  6. Colorado Rockies @ Boston Red Sox Game Time: 7:05 EST Venue: Fenway Park http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2006/06/30/1151677957_3871.jpg Josh Beckett (9-0 2.88) vs. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Baseball/Canada/2006/01/23/francis_jeff250.jpg Jeff Francis (5-5 3.81) Beckett looks to continue his dominance this season against a good lefty in Jeff Francis. Drew is moved up to the top of the order. Office Space Mojo! http://www.springboardpr.com/blog/OfficeSpace.jpeg
  7. As will practically every player in baseball, a sub .600 OPS put into perspective is incredibly bad.
  8. completely agreed on the pizza thing.
  9. come on lowell, dont throw it and youks got to just stop the ball there, he tried backhanding it and came up empty
  10. I respect him but theres something about him that makes it hard for me to listen to him, thats the first thing that popped into my head while listening. To each his own i suppose.
  11. Im sorry but im not in the fan club
  12. What a boring announcer, I couldnt stand to listen to that guy for a whole game. Love the bat flip lol
  13. and he was incredibly unlucky last year with a with a BABIP through the roof. .385 ouch. Like i said his FIP was good last year (3.02) and his peripherals are good for a rookie pitcher, which leads me to believe he was a better pitcher than his stats indicated. Hes settled into AAA nicely now and I dont see him getting much more out of AAA at this point. Hes a good MR and hes much better than Piniero.
  14. Thats the best Paps has looked in a while, good sign
  15. Ill start by bringing up my case from Mid-May to bring him up: His last 8 outings: 13.0 IP, 5 hits, 0 ER, 6 BB, 14 K On the year his K/9 is 11.47, his walk rate is still somewhat high but his stuff is good and he'll be much more effective than Piniero.
  16. Should help that none of these guys have really seen Wakefield (except Heltons 1 AB).
  17. idk but I guess by the boxscore it looks like his stuff is decent if hes not getting hit but his control isnt very good. btw, Greenville ended up throwing a 6 inning nohitter and the game was stopped due to rain
  18. Odd outing for Bard tonight for Single-A Greenville 5.0 IP, 0 hits, 0 ER, 6 walks, 4 Ks
  19. 8 Ks in 5 innings so far for Dice. Hes got one more inning in him
  20. and coco answers
  21. Lets work some counts here and make this johnsons last inning
