  1. Here's is the lineup for Game 2 of the Sox-Tigers series at Fenway courtesy of Boston sports radio WEEI: 1. Coco Crisp, CF 2. Mark Loretta, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Manny Ramirez, LF 5. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 6. Mike Lowell, 3B 7. Wily Mo Pena, RF 8. Doug Mirabelli, C 9. Alex Gonzalez, SS -- Curt Schilling, SP
  2. That only happens if the Red Sox can find a closer.
  3. His changeup is not very good. It does not have anywhere near the separation from the fastball as it needs to be. He is essentially a 2 pitch pitcher that has to pitch against good lineups. You need more than 2 pitches to beat AL lineups. He has his work cut out for him this offseason to develop the changeup alot more and to maybe get a splitter which he likely needs.
  4. More talent than Clement and alot younger. After the struggles he has had this year I bet he will work alot harder this offseason to change that.
  5. Breslow does a nice job tonight.
  6. Manny was not even running that hard.
  7. great manny thrown out at the plate.
  8. Power v.s. Power right here
  9. And he still continues to suck
  10. Seanez back to his struggling ways.
  11. Robertson has owned Ortiz in his career.
  12. And that rally ends quickly.
  13. Curt Schilling was very much like Beckett was at the same age. Clemens kicked him in the ass and could do the same for Beckett as well.
  14. The Sox need to send Beckett to Roger Clemens to learn how to pitch, train, etc. this winter much like Curt Schilling met with Clemens when his career was going nowhere.
  15. He needs more than two pitches to get by in the AL. His changeup is not even a changeup as it has no separation from his fastball. A pitcher can't live with 2 pitches as a starter in the AL East. It can't happen.
  16. You hope its within this new contract. This offseason for Beckett will be huge as he should really consider developing a split finger fastball.
  17. In time I think Beckett will become the pitcher we think he can be. Will he this year. Likely not. He is not mature enough much like when Curt Schilling was the same age. It took Schilling alot longer to become the great pitcher he is today and it might be the same with Beckett. Once Beckett learns how to pitch there is no doubt he can be a good one.
  18. Mark Wagner has been promoted to Wilmington and is in the lineup tonight as the DH against Frederick.
