    They have to pass 2 teams which frankly are better overall than them. The Sox don't have any starting pitching on a consistent basis. They have a pathetic bullpen outside of Papelbon and occasionally MDC. And there offense is streaky. Plus they can't beat AL teams over .500. Add that all together and I would say its a long shot they make it to the playoffs and they are better off getting a prospect for Wells before August 31st since the Sox will get nothing for him when he retires.

    Lars Anderson is officially signed and signed for supplemental first round money which is surprising. He is in Fort Myers and was signed 2 weeks ago.

    I heard that too. Likely sox said take it or leave to Laporta and moved on to Anderson. Along with the International signings and the draft 2006 has been very good stocking the farm with talent.

    Calloway is not coming up and neither is Bailey with Carlos Pena having a clause in his deal to be called up in september.

    He's a pathetic manager but he will survive the 2006 season. They just gave him a new contract (why i don't know) but he gets until 2007 before he gets canned. Injuries have caught up to this team and it will be an excuse to keep him around.

    8th inning and Tito leaves Kapler in against the right hander shields. Honestly does he even know the game. It's really amazing this team won the WS with this moron who doesn't know how to pinch hit for one of the worst hitters on the team.

    I'd agree scrap the splits between Hinske against lefties and Kapler against them Kapler. Just play Hinske. What the hell did you acquire him for to ride the pine behind kapler.
