  1. it's really a tough call in this series. No one put the team on his back and carried them to victory. I think a good argument can be made for Holland. These games were so tight with no room for error.
  2. I am so happy that Showalter went down without a victory.
  3. It is a best of 7.
  4. there is no way he makes the opening day roster unless the entire starting outfield is on the DL. He needs to learn to hit. He will not get enough ABs in spring training toprove himself and win a job.
  5. he'll get less than 100 ABs in the OF in 2015.
  6. The one plus about it is that it makes it easier to get tickets when your team isn't playing great.
  7. Lol! Very funny. I hate to break the news to you but you are part of the same dying breed.
  8. MLB needs to understand that we are a dying breed of fan. We just like watching baseball. They need to cultivate that with younger generations. Instead, they go for cheesy distractions at games like loud music, sausage races, and too much other nonsense. Bring back infield practice. Have the home team take batting practice after the visitors so kids can see their hero's. And stop all the loud blaring so kids can hear the sounds of the game and their dads can teach them about the game without having to scream over the blare. It is a beautiful game, but it is lost in swirling noise and distracting confusion.
  9. It's a shame that no one is watching these games. Watching the Royals make the most of this long awaited opportunity is fun to see.
  10. Pal should thank Beckett for eliminating fried chicken from his diet.
  11. He didn't need the surgery until 2012 after he was with the Dodgers -- more than 4 full seasons after he ruined the Red Sox 2008 season with his princess and the pea routine.
  12. And he should be in the minors with the other kids his age until he is big league ready.
  13. I was very critical of Beckett in 2008 when he shut himself down for almost a month with a phantom injury -- tingling in his pinkie and ring fingers. After he got clearance from every specialist in the country, he returned to the mound out of condition and hurt himself rendering him useless in the playoffs. I still believe that he cost us the division and the AL championship. But I will always be thankful to him for 2007 -- a perfect season from beginning to end. I'll take the results of that trade any day. I am also thankful that he shut down the skanks in the 2003 World Series after we had our hearts broken.
  14. Orioles - Royals Cards - Giants
  15. Awful call by home plate ump on check swing third strike by Desmond in 9 the inning. There was no reason to not ask for help.
  16. Hanley is a dog and anibel's mailing address is the DL. What the heck do the Red Sox stand for? LOL! Get some sleep my friend.
  17. Thanks for 2007. And thanks for all the big wins against the Yankees.
  18. The anti-Schilling.
  19. Agreed. It's not brain surgery. Having power threats like Pujols and Trout is not a negative for a manager.
  20. Any interest in J.P. Arrencibia?
  21. In March? Heck, I didn't even pick it last week. LOL!!!
  22. I did prefer the days when the managers got fired and the players stayed put. Now, there are a lot of managers who have been with their teams longer than they would have been in the past. I wonder if Angel fans are sick of looking at Scioscia's face. I am. He is one of many.
  23. The underdog Royals will be facing the O's. I will be pulling for KC as I can't stomach Showalter. Fans will probably continue to debate the Shields for Myers trade, but KC got what they wanted from Shields. He anchored the staff of a weak hitting team for a couple of seasons and helped them get to the post-season and advance to the ALCS. Myers still carries with him the dreaded "P" word -- potential.
  24. In this series against the Angels, Hosmer is hitting like the player that the Royals thought he would be.
  25. Buck Showalter turns my stomach.
