He didn't need the surgery until 2012 after he was with the Dodgers -- more than 4 full seasons after he ruined the Red Sox 2008 season with his princess and the pea routine.

And he should be in the minors with the other kids his age until he is big league ready.

I was very critical of Beckett in 2008 when he shut himself down for almost a month with a phantom injury -- tingling in his pinkie and ring fingers. After he got clearance from every specialist in the country, he returned to the mound out of condition and hurt himself rendering him useless in the playoffs. I still believe that he cost us the division and the AL championship. But I will always be thankful to him for 2007 -- a perfect season from beginning to end. I'll take the results of that trade any day. I am also thankful that he shut down the skanks in the 2003 World Series after we had our hearts broken.

I did prefer the days when the managers got fired and the players stayed put. Now, there are a lot of managers who have been with their teams longer than they would have been in the past. I wonder if Angel fans are sick of looking at Scioscia's face. I am. He is one of many.

The underdog Royals will be facing the O's. I will be pulling for KC as I can't stomach Showalter. Fans will probably continue to debate the Shields for Myers trade, but KC got what they wanted from Shields. He anchored the staff of a weak hitting team for a couple of seasons and helped them get to the post-season and advance to the ALCS. Myers still carries with him the dreaded "P" word -- potential.

What a stupid move by Matt Williams removing Zimmerman after a walk in the 9th with 2 outs after dominating the Giants giving up only 4 base runners. Just another example of managerial stupidity.

Kershaw hasn't exactly established himself as a big game pitcher. No starter has ever had back to back post season starts with 7 earned runs. He is the anti- Schilling. Plus, the Cards have a weak offense.

I doubt that WMB is in the plans for 2015. His career has crashed and burned. I'll gladly eat those words if he miraculous gets a chance and produces.

I think money is the #1 priority of most players. That doesn't mean that he will get it.

Lowrie is a thousand times better than Middlebrooks. Plus, I don't think that he will command a very big salary. His glove and arm would be more than adequate at 3B.

The A's are said to be considering moving Donaldson. We have a huge hole at 3B. Another possibility is Jed Lowrie who is a free agent.
