  1. I don't remember Peavy going after Farrell. I remember Peavy screaming at himself.
  2. Nice play by Machado.
  3. Farrell went over to talk to him, probably to tell him he was done for the night and Miley went nuts, yelling and waving his arms and pointing out to the field. He was still agitated as he and Farrell went down the runway together.
  4. Tillman has been awful this year, so we still have a shot in this game. He would fit in our staff.
  5. Miley went nuts on Farrell in the dugout after pitching like that? This team is falling apart at the seams.
  6. Another home run given up by Miley. Time to take the trash out Farrell. Put the knuckballer in.
  7. Nothing in your post can be disputed to my great consternation.
  8. He has been declining for 2 seasons.
  9. If you have 4 starters with over 5 ERAs, your lineup needs to be issued machine guns to be competitive.
  10. And we have Miley and Porcello for 3 and 4 more years -- real value contracts. Happy Days! Ben, call the Dodgers and hope that their GM is drunk and taking a bath in thousand dollar bills.
  11. Okay, it needs to be said. Miley, Porcello, and Kelly flat out stink. I know that we didn't expect our pitchers to be anything other than mediocre, and I know that our hitting stinks too, but to have 3 starters with ERAs above 5 as of June 11th is way worse than anyone projected. I have seen some bad pitching staffs through the years, but none come close to this steaming hot pile of garbage. And Miley, Porcello, and Kelly are not the worst of the lot. Masterson made them look like Cy Young candidates. Porcello is the biggest disappointment, because he had the highest expectations. He was supposed to spearhead the staff.
  12. And I despise Showalter.
  13. your team should outscore the Sox. Have fun!
  14. That's because you have to listen to their announcers... right?
  15. At the top of Henry's list has to be upgrading his scouting and player development department. This group wouldn't recognize good pitching talent if a young Sandy Koufax fell on their heads. Even if they had the luck of a blind squirrel in drafting a stud pitcher, they organization has stunk at player development.
  16. I'll gas up my car and drive him free of charge.
  17. just a typo. LOL!! If the fans had any influence over the FO, they would have re-signed Lester. Their impulsive move to get Hanley is on them. Red Sox Nation wasn't clamoring for him.
  18. I keep hearing how this generation of Red Sox fans is spoiled by all the recent success. I have enjoyed the World Championships immensely. Other than family events, I have had no bigger thrill than attending Game 6 in 2013. The real great powerhouse teams of 2003 to 2008 were a pleasure to watch, but the team has not been the same since those years. If we come in last place again to make it 3 out of 4 years, that will be a record for futility that I have not witnessed in my 50 years of rooting for the Sox. I never witnessed 2 last place finishes in 3 years. It is beyond belief to me to witness this.
  19. Sure there have been plenty of wrong moves, but I think the HanRam/Panda signings reflect an impulsivity that didn't follow any plan. It's almost like they said, "Oh, these guys are good buys. Let's take them both." It didn't matter that there was one position for the two of them. The OF was not an option for either of them. In fat, Hanley is so bad in LF, you have to ask whether Panda would do worse out there. LOL!
  20. They are supposedly in talks with the Cubs and Blue Jays for Papelbon
  21. signing two third basemen over the winter and sticking one of them in the outfield was not well thought out.
  22. lol! I should have said that it was time for him to go to the Dog Track. I misspoke.
  23. They need to get Johnson up to the big club fast to see what they have in him. The risk they run is that he is not the real deal and he gets exposed hurting his trade value. Whether or not they make a move for Hamels, they will need to get some veteran leader on this staff going forward.
