  1. I am not going to call you any names. There is a lot of frustration to go around. I think the players are giving full effort. They are just not very good. They are also very poorly coached and managed imo. If I thought that the players weren't trying, I'd be booing them too, but that is not what I am seeing.
  2. I call them as I see them, Pete. I am still skeptical whether he can hit big league pitching, but he has earned the shot and d'Aza is just not good enough to justify blocking his path.
  3. I still love the big guy. He can still hang the rock.
  4. Send him back to Cuba and get him a job in the rejuvenated Tourism Bureau.
  5. I am in a terrible mood watching this, and I probably need a reality check. Does anyone disagree with this ^?
  6. Today. He needs to go today. Why the f*** did he send the kid back out there down 6-1 when the team was playing like a heartless bag of crap and he just had a tough inning.
  7. Before the last play, I was going to post that we look like a little league team. The announcers said that ER had his first bad game. I call BS on them. ER did not deserve today s stat line. He had no team behind him. Period end of story. The team owes the kid big time. They played like total s*** behind him. I am f***ing furious right now. Going to watch another game to see real baseball!
  8. D'Aza was a waste of an acquisition. The guy is a dog. There is absolutely no good reason why Bradley does not have his spot. He is a better fielder by far. He is also a lefty batter with little power like d'aza. Why the f*** do we have d'aza!? Let's see what Bradley can do. Give him another shot. He has earned it. Even if he shits all over himself, d'aza is not that much better.
  9. It took a collision, a spiking and an impaling on the monster rivets for Sandoval to get a triple.
  10. Ben, one dumb ass mutherf***er! Lol! Love it.
  11. That being said, if we get swept by two division rivals in a row, Farrell has to get fired. He wimped like a wuss on the no call at second base. Remy and the rest of us thought he was going to get himself tossed, but he put his tail between his legs and slinked back to the dugout.
  12. Also, the more I see Swihart behind the plate the more I like him. He is not flashy, but very fundamentally sound, quick feet and a good accurate arm. There are bright spots.
  13. Still have to love what we are seeing from this kid. This is a very tough lineup that is red hot right now. He got a tough break on the no call at second base and d'Aza should have had the pop up by Martin. He was positioned wrong and he didn't come hard for that ball. If he slides, he gets that ball. The kid should have been in the dugout with only 2 runs.
  14. Yeah, but i' ll let you look them up. lol!
  15. Stop with the junior announcing stuff and all that other happy horseshit and get this entire organization focused on baseball.
  16. Farrell on the pregame said that this team is sticking together. I guess he couldn't say that they are stinking together. Oh and Masterson is with the team, but he hasn't been activated. He has another rehab appearance with Pawtucket coming up. The future is looking bright.
  17. It was a royal f*** up for not knowing that he was available. He has a whole organization at his disposal that is supposed to know these things.
  18. Not many at all. The players may have performed, but he was not a good negotiator of contracts, and he had some shopping bad ones. If you buy a Mercedes and it works like a Mercedes is supposed to work, but you have paid 50% more for it than other buyers, you are a bad negotiator. It doesn't make you a good negotiator because you own a Mercedes. Across the board our GMs have overpaid, both for the Mercedes and they have often paid Mercedes prices for broken down Chevy's.
  19. It's his job to know these things. He is supposed to make these things happen, not read about them in the newspaper. Are we to believe that Beane would shop Donaldson to only one team or that he was so overwhelmed by the offer of Lawrie and Graveman that he accepted it on the spot.
  20. I agree, but who sits to give him time, or do they do a Castillo/Bradley platoon?
  21. ER doesn't need mojo. He has the stuff. Edit: Other than ER and Buch our rotation is a parade of pigs and we are saddled with 2 of them for the next 3-4 years. Porcello is the Peter Principle personified -- a bottom of the rotation pitcher promoted to the top of the rotation where he is failing miserably for a very substantial payday. Edit: And most disturbingly, Porcello could cost me a case of beer.
  22. Bradley is hitting very well at AAA. If the FO is not going to make the moves necessary to compete in 2015, they should give JBJ a full shot or trade him. There is no sense keeping him in AAA for the full season. The big question is whose playing time would get sacrificed in order for him to play -- Hanley, Betts, or Castillo.
  23. I am not sure what you mean by this. I am pretty sure that we could have topped a package of Brett Lawrie and Graveman. Toronto fleeced the hugely overrated Billy Beane.
  24. And they paid Hanley who is a DH in waiting much more than they ever paid Big Papi (the best DH in history). Hanley's contract would have been a good contract if he still played SS -- a premium position. Clearly, that was not the case as he can't catch a cold. It seems to me that Ben and the Red Sox were bidding against themselves on Panda and Hanley. These were poor acquisitions from a team building perspective and to add insult to injury, they were overpays. My prediction is that neither will be a full time player with the RedSox by the time these contracts finish. Our last 2 gms have been like a couple of rubes when it comes to negotiating contracts. When I was growing up in Brooklyn, the old women shopping for groceries were shrewder negotiaters than our gms. They would have eaten Theo's and Ben' s lunch. Lol!
