    Omg, DD said that he doesn't need analytics to tell him that Jose Iglesias is a good fielder. He said that he can trust his eyes on that. Lol! What a clown! Some people here are going to hate him.

    DD is in the booth and hit the nail on the head. We need to improve the pitching he said. That is refreshing to hear instead of being told that they like our pitching.

    Maybe you should send yourself and s*** n cycles your pm advice about gratuitous insults. FYI there was nothing illogical. Spud said he heard something negative about Hanley. I replied that if it is true and they want to get rid of him the FO will make sure that the story gets out there. You assumed that I meant before they got rid of him. The well known MO of this FO has been to send the player away and then sit back as the press savages him after he is gone. I answered your question in the next post, but I guess you were already chiming in with ass face's insult which was incorrect in its premise and conclusion.

    Based on never having played the position? That doesn't sound very reliable.

    No they are not, but usually a sound rationale and a failed move is the result of injury. But for injury, there was a miscalculation regarding the player.

    Looking for the rationale behind a bad move is necessary to figure out why the move went wrong and take steps to avoid those pitfalls in the future, not to provide an excuse for a bad move as that serves no purpose at all.

    My philosophy is that bad teams are the fault of bad team building and bad on field coaching. I think the players have certain abilities and that they are trying their best. I don't fault them because they are not talented or because their performance is limited by their talent. It was a FO error in judgment that they expected too much from the players assembled and essentially misjudged their projected performance.

    I would characterize 3 last place finishes in 4 years as sustained failure.

    I have never been a fan of any FO personnel. I think they are a bunch of overpaid knuckleheads that are in charge of a product that pretty much sells itself. To that extent, I have no bias. I will criticize them all. As for Ben, he was abject failure in leading the organization. That is not a bias. That is his record. I hope DD does better, but I will join you in criticizing him if he fails too.

    I am glad that you will be joining me as I criticize the moves of the next FO administration. I play no favorites. If DD doesn't get it done, he will be on my posting hit list. Welcome aboard. I agree with you that the FO is also a bunch of stuffed suits without a clue.

    The fanbase has been ridiculously and steadfastly loyal in the face of this incompetence. The Red Sox have rolled out a terrible product in three of the last 4 seasons. It was not suitable for consumers, but the fanbase has continued to fill Fenway and buy all of their junk and crap. The revenue streams have not been damaged. What has been damaged is that Ben has wasted $400 million over the last 2 seasons and came away with consecutive last place finishes. If ownership reacts to WEEI, then they are bigger idiots than I thought they were. The fans should get considered when the actions of the fans start to impact their bottom line. That hasn't happend yet. What has happened is that Ben performed so atrociously that he had to go. This wasn't just a down year. I will repeat. This is unprecedented failure since pre-Yawkey years. People like you need a wake up call.
