  1. He had one of the best sinkers of his generation. I saw him many times too, and I never liked it when we faced him.
  2. is this breaking news?
  3. Manny's career UZR/150 is -20.2 which is not good, but it is a far cry from Hanley's mark of -31.9. Manny was a bad outfielder, but he was an outfielder. Hanley was not an outfielder and had no business being out there.
  4. I don't disagree, but I don't think Porcello's 2016 will be twice the value of Gallardo's season.
  5. Better than Porcello at half the price.
  6. Lol! Bring it on.
  7. Hmmm..., but isn't our first rounder protected this year?
  8. I would prefer Gallardo at this contract than Porcello at his extension.
  9. I have not set the date yet.
  10. Stottlemyre has had leukemia for a number of years and one of his sons died from it.
  11. He was busy knocking off the last 5 lbs.
  12. I have been beating your ass like a drum for the last 2 seasons.
  13. I think he started it at 16.
  14. This is a case where the eyes and the stats tell you that Manny was not a good outfielder, but he was an outfielder and that Hanley was not an outfielder. He was that bad. Any NFL linebacker or punch drunk fighter who never saw a baseball could have played LF at Hanley's level of proficiency.
  15. I think it would be ideal if we added two more teams. Pal, are you going to join?
  16. At least it doesn't stress him so much that he will not participate.
  17. Hanley was not only much worse than Manny, but he is probably the worst outfielder that I have seen. A close second was Daniel Murphy of the Mets, but the Mets ended that experiment much sooner than we ended the Hanley OF experiment.
  18. It would not have been an issue. Hanley was not only much worse than Manny who had outfield instincts, because he was an Outfielder and who knew his strengths and weaknesses. He did not have a strong arm, but he compensated by releasing the ball very quickly. He also had a very accurate arm. Manny played very shallow in LF and caught a lot of balls that would have dropped in as hits.
  19. Manny was like Yaz in LF compared to Hanley. And he hit like Ted Williams and Babe Ruth compared to Hanley.
  20. If you create a new account using the same email address, I will send an invitation to that email to replace yourself as owner.
  21. You get my vote.
  22. Last year's CFer.
  23. Accountability? What a quaint concept.
