Does anyone know what the exit velocity was on his Home Run ball? That shows me his power potential, not his average exit velocity. The average is lower because as you say his "approach" is different in most of his other ABs.

Betts is still very young. He will develop more patience. His bat is so quick that he can wait longer than most players.

In the first inning, Betts had a terrible read on Colabello's ball. That would have been an easy out on a night game.

I like that Gibbons has changed his lineup from last year. The Jays scored a ton of runs last year, so he decides to mess with success and put Saunders in the leadoff spot. As a pitcher, I would hate trying to acclimate to the mound etc. when the first batter is Donaldson who can crush you.

Then when you get old, I have good longevity in my family, I will call you out for hypocrisy. LOL!! I am not one of those people who thinks that age brings wisdom. My Dad always told me that age didn't bring wisdom, because idiots can't age into wisdom.

I've been getting grouchy my whole life. Don't be an ageist. If you are lucky, some day you will get old too, but I know blather when I see it.

He runs pretty well too. He has major league tools, none are really plus tools, but some might be better than average.

This is a place similar to a bar or the stadium or other gathering place for fans to watch the games. People at bars and at the ballparks are commenting about the guy's weight. We are just doing the same thing. None of us here is sending him hate mail about it. I don't know why she gets so bent out of shape about it.

Sometimes I am grouchy. It happens, especially when I post so much and read everything that gets posted here. Sk is a good poster on the baseball stuff. The blather post was not his best stuff. Some people can do humor. Sk's strong suit is baseball and statistics. Comedy and satire are not his strong suit, IMO.

Maybe so, but it is like hearing a 40 year old joke. Remarks like Sk's are tired. And I will say it again, the opinions of fans about other fans bore me to tears. I barely read that garbage.
