    I think he will walk some guys and give up the occasional hit, but as long as he comes into start an inning, I don't think he will give up too many runs. He will blow away 3 guys before putting on a couple of guys most nights.

    When and if it becomes evident that Vasquez will be the future at catcher and Swihart will be a backup, Swihart's trade value will plummet. It comes down to how to maximize the asset. That is where the skill comes into play in the FO.

    Three up three down is a clean inning. For all of our concern about him, he does have 6 saves with 5 games to go in April. If he gets 40, and I don't care how he gets them, we will be a competitive team, and that will be welcome after the last 2 years. I doubt that he will blow 2 saves per month from here on out.

    You need to cut Farrell a break. His mind is overtaxed playing in an NL team with his pitcher having to bat and the terrifying prospect of double switches. It is very heady stuff.
