    They would profit from Panda apparel no matter if he was on the Red Sox or some other team. The profit on MLB licensed apparel etc gets split 30 ways.

    LL would have never pushed the selling the Panda stuff. The proceeds from MLB licensed products gets split equally among the 30 teams.

    This is a fun/competitive league. I don't think anyone is going crazy in this league with subscriptions to advanced statistical fantasy reports in this league. There is an entry fee of $20 -- a small fee in the Fantasy Sports world. This league is more for bragging rights and fun. PM me with your contact information, and I will send you an invitation.

    I am taking this opportunity to recruit new team owners for the 2017 TalkSox Mike Grace Memorial Fantasy League. As of now, it looks like we have 8 confirmed teams down from the 12 that we had last year. TalkSox members are welcome to join. Statheads/StatGeeks are woefully under-represented in this league, which is all about stats and nothing about intangibles. If you are already in the league, please spread the word as it was a fun and competitive league last year with 12 teams. Let's try to get 4 new teams into the league.

    No problem. I lost my wallet about a week ago. I have been going through the hassle of replacing everything. These things can be a real pain. My son mocked me for losing my wallet, and guess what happened to him today? That's right. I just looked him in the eye and told him what he told me. It could be just an accident or it might be reason to question his declining mental faculties. LOL!!

    Some posters get very stressed about stuff that others take in stride or even enjoy.

    I look at stats a lot -- if for no other reason than I am in several Fantasy league, but I have found that statistics about the Red Sox line up with my observations. Edit: I never said that "not needing stats [makes me] more knowledgeable or observant." What makes me fully informed as an observer of the Red Sox is that I watch almost every pitch throughout the season.

    Speaking for myself, we understand that we have less prospects in the pipeline, but I am not going to wring my hands over what MIGHT happen in 2020. I chose to enjoy the awesome talent that will be fielded over the next 3 years. During the next 3 years, DD might rebuild the farm. That is a possibility, so why would I get my underwear in a knot. What I don't understand is the obsessives hand wringing over something that might or might not happen in 2020-21, in the face of watching and enjoying the best Red Sox starting rotation since the 1910's.

    Stats are helpful to me to stay informed about the rest of the league, but not about the Red Sox. Over my lifetime, I have watched thousands of games so I can adequately assess what I am seeing from the Red Sox players and compare that against the league standards. Watching every Red Sox game leaves me with no knowledge gaps that need to be filled by stats. I am not a homer when it comes to their performance. When one of our players stinks, I realize it and say it, I don't lie to myself that they are better than they are. Stats could be helpful as a reality check to homer fans who watch the team through rose colored glasses, so I get your point, but that has never been me.
