  1. The Pirates organization has mastered a sustainable plan for losing. Who is in charge of that mess?
  2. Barnes facing 6,7,8 and I still don’t feel good about it.
  3. Danish will be back up for a cup of coffee in September.
  4. You have to wonder how long he was bothered by the bad hip, because he has looked like hot garbage at the plate for most of the season except for one hot streak.
  5. Tell me why.
  6. I don't know what you mean by "inherited pitchers". There are only 4 DD guys on your list, and other than Nate, none of them carries a big financial commitment. He could easily have sent them packing and replaced them with upgrades.
  7. Only Kansas City has a worse ERA in the AL. If that is improvement, I wouldn't trumpeting it.
  8. What aspect of the Red Sox organization was improved in 22? The major league team has been a train wreck, especially the pitching staff and most notably the bullpen. Has the talent in the farm system been significantly upgraded in 22 while the MLB team has been crashing and burning? Where are our big blue chippers? Do we have any future stars? What is their ETA? As of now, I score him a C-, and that is being generous.
  9. He needs to be stored in bubble wrap until Spring Training.
  10. I heard that someone tweeted, “Sale made a deal with the Devil for the WS title and then his bones turned into pretzels.” LOL!
  11. https://nypost.com/2022/08/09/chris-sale-injury-red-sox-aces-season-over-after-bike-accident/
  12. You can’t make it up.
  13. Pathetic taking a beat down from KC.
  14. But it is proven to work. LOL!;)
  15. Don’t you live in Canada? You do realize there were better options?
  16. He would have been hammered by one group of he sold and another group if he bought, but no one know what to make of this deadline strategy, so he is getting blasted by everyone including Pedro.
  17. If they are prohibitively expensive, how could any team other than the Yankees or Dodgers afford them? The Red Sox are not Kansas City or the Marlins or Tampa.
  18. He moved Swihart to the OF because he couldn’t catch. It turned out that he couldn’t hit either. I never understood why the organization held Swihart in such high regard. I had people in the organization confirm to me that they regarded him very highly. I never saw what they saw. And they gave him plenty of opportunity.
  19. Was Bloom hoping that he would bounce back to his prime for,... when he also couldn’t hit? And if he thought so highly of him why did he let him walk in the first place? He got him back to pay him the bulk of a contract that he had deemed too expensive. Makes no senses. There were cheaper good glove CFers available.
  20. And if Bloom doesn’t fill in those blanks with some good players, they will have another season like this one. He might not fill some of those blanks at all.
  21. And that fits with what philosophy or strategy... paying that much for a guy who didn’t hit .200 and throwing in a 30 HR guy to get him. Jeesh!
  22. Huh. And I thought the Sox were second to none on that category. I overestimated them or maybe I underestimated them.
