  1. That is not disparagement. They didn't think he would like a part time role, because he has always been a full time player, and they thought he is not suited to a part time role. They didn't state that they were worried about him becoming a clubhouse problem. That is projection by you.
  2. He would have had 10 days to deal him after the DFA, and he would have gotten little value for him.
  3. I don't think he will go limp around here.
  4. He's just fine anywhere we put him in a pinch.
  5. If I had to bet it would have been a DFA for Swihart who was being actively shopped. He would have no role on the roster if Hanley had stayed.
  6. Message boards are the only places where this Option issue is being discussed. LOL!! You can't find anything definitive on it, because it is such a settled issue that there is no reason to bring it up by anyone who has a dog in this fight, i.e. the Union, Hanley's agent or the Red Sox. This issue is a stupid troll job.
  7. That happened when he was with Texas.
  8. Brett? That is quite a dream. I will settle for considerably less.
  9. Who works for the Red Sox?
  10. Bryce Harper. I like the way you think. You just made Kimmi shudder. We need to get a GIF for the Kimmi Shudder.
  11. I remember the time that Jose Canseco talked Kevin Kennedy into pitching and he blew out his elbow and need TJ surgery.
  12. And we were just lucky that the 3 options before him crashed and burned or got injured. Kimbrel is a sure thing. Luck is random.
  13. I don't think it was disparaging. I think Hanley would probably agree that he would not perform best in a part time role. Some guys don't like to DH, because they don't feel involved in the flow of the game. What they said was not disparagement. He just wasn't the right guy for a part time role. You are engaging in projection.
  14. Of course records of positional play at thousands of minor league games must be infallible.
  15. No grievance will be filed.
  16. Do you have a TalkSox t-shirt? You should wear it or bring a Talksox sign to the game and try to get on camera.
  17. And Bard was our next closer...
  18. They are probably hoping to showcase Blake's bat. He didn't look too good with the glove.
  19. I don't see any inference that Hanley might become a clubhouse problem in what Cora and DD said. Some players need to play regularly to play their best. Others (like Cora) handle part-time roles very well, but are not full time roles. Hanley was not the right guy for the role that Cora needed to fill. It is as simple as that. It is bogus projection that people think they were making negative inferences about him becoming a clubhouse problem.
  20. There is no indication that there will be a grievance except on message boards.
  21. Set rich would be more accurate.
  22. And the Yankees have the knack of late inning first row pop up HRs to the RF porch and scoring multiple late inning runs on a single hit mixed in with errors, hbp, BB's etc.
  23. Gallon milk jugs can come in handy.
