  1. 3 guys in the lineup are hitting under .200.
  2. NESN showed 100 mph? Hot gun.
  3. The last foul ball by Moncada was a 99 mph fastball on the stadium gun.
  4. Sit down, Moncada. Demolished.
  5. A700 at the game mojo.
  6. Got an alert to a report that JD wanted to play tonight. He will be on the lineup tomorrow.
  7. Poor Sale is pitching without the backing of the big guns.
  8. If it is so great, they should get sponsors.
  9. It is not new. The only change is that players with WTP are doing it too. LOL
  10. Launch angle. Fancy name to make us believe that this is new to the game. When I was 11 years old, I read Ted Williams “My Turn At Bat”. He discussed how the perfect swing had a slight uppercut. I think he even mentioned the angle. He also mentioned how the the angle had to be increased when hitting the eephus pitch i.e. “blooper pitch”. There is nothing new under the sun when it comes to baseball unless theee is a rule change. In 130 years baseball were able to dope out the odds and probabilities (which are actually quite simple) in their heads. They like to think they came up with a new theory. They haven’t. They are overusing the launch angle theory. Fast guys with 10-15 HR power need to put the ball on the line or the ground and learn to hit the ball the other way to maximize their game.
  11. He may end up being a good MLB pitcher, but yesterday was a forfeit game in my opinion. There was no reason to bring him up for a spot start with 5 healthy starters and a couple of healthy long men, and no double headers. If Cora wanted to give the rotation a break,he could have limited one or 2 of the starters to 75-80 pitches and gone to Johnson or Velasquez. Compound bringing up a kid and giving him a start, he puts JD in RF and Travis in LF and Swihart behind the Trump. i have seen him twice now — once in Spring training and yesterday. He blew up spectacularly both times. I am not interested in seeing him start again. Maybe the adrenaline and nerves of a start are too much for him. Sometimes it is better to let a guy get his feet wet out of the pen.
  12. One of the signs of advanced trolling ability is to post something that is imprecise in an immaterial was to see who researches it. It always brings a smile to my face. LOL!
  13. Myths are so interesting for my child-like mind.
  14. Will you be changing your username to SoxHob?
  15. The same reason behind doing the wave. Shrugs from me. And they did the wave at that game too.
  16. JD wasn't the problem tonight. The kid sucked. He fooled no one. their hitters were running up the the batters box like kids who wanted that last AB before the game was called on account of darkness.
  17. Iggy hurt us with the bat tonight too.
  18. That was a great play.
  19. Just saw on scoreboard that Holt is in for JD and JD’s spot is due next inning. I noticed him doing something with his back after the first swing in his last AB. Did they say anything on TV?
  20. From where I am sitting I can only judge the hitters’ reactions and Beeks isn’t fooling anyone except the hapless hopeless Jacoby Jones who is batting lead off as a result of an act of managerial negligence. Do his pitches have any movement.
  21. Clearly out to naked eye from 3B side. Ump going on sound and there is no sound when the ball is flipped. Hard to watch feet and glove from that close.
  22. Finally, a big play by Devers on a ball down the line. LOL! That was scorched. LOL
  23. Remember Bobby Sprowl.
  24. It is hard to judge Swihart behind the plate tonight since he isn’t catching many pitches. They are hitting almost everything.
