    You are dealing in a hypothetical. We can hypothesize anything. Unless he was just giving them work to keep them fresh that would not affect their future availability in close games, then it was a mistake to have used them in those games. They weren’t available. It was a mistake. Managers make them.

    It hurts to let a game get away after leading it for most of the game, especially when you have knocked an elite pitcher like Paxton out of the box so early. Porcello usually pitches very well with a lead and it looked like that pattern what’s going to continue. He had two 1-2-3 innininfs in a row and was on his way to a third when the wheels fell off with 2 out and no one on base. s*** happens. No one would have predicted this type of outcome, but baseball is confounding.

I could understand Haniger getting fooled. I would have scored it a hit. It is just not Paxton's night. His defense let him down, and he wasn't able to pick them up. Jerry is going to eat a grass hopper.
