    It was a slight uppercut 4-8 degrees. It was about making contact not about launching the ball. His theory was that since the pitch was on a downward trajectory that a slight uppercut had the bat in the hitting plane for the maximum time. In his book My Turn At Bat, he mentioned that to hit the eephus pith that you should increase the angle to about 15 percent.

    I don't understand all the negativity about Price. This guy is a great pitcher. He has been an elite talent and performer his entire life. Were are lucky to have him taking the ball every 5th day. Hopefully, he stays healthy. I don't shudder at his contract at all if he stays healthy.

    The old Dodger fans used to tell me about him. He won a batting title in 1941 and got the Dodgers to the World Series. Unfortunately, he ran into a lot of OF walls and knocked himself cold a few times, ruining his career. He was supposedly a great fielder as well and as fast as hell.
