  1. Price was a blue chip elite prospect when he was drafted #1 overall and since then he has been an elite performer at every level including 10 years in the big leagues. Leaving out his cup of coffee in his first season, he has averaged 180 innings each year with 8.6 strikeouts per 9 innings and a 3.25 ERA. This guy is a valuable commodity. His career has been one of consistent excellence.
  2. Okay, I will put this to bed and be the bigger man. I will plead to being wrong about the reporter not knowing who Hanley was. Mea Culpa. Of course, this admission makes my point even stronger that the reporter in question engaged in irresponsible news reporting. Knowing that Hanley was a Red Sox player whose future earning power is highly dependent on preserving his good name, she should have verified her story before smearing him. I hope Hanley sues her for defamation. It feels good to unburden myself, especially when it bolsters my argument.;):p Thank you.
  3. The only post of mine that could be mistakenly interpreted as presuming guilt was the one where I said that the Feds are dusting off the hot seat for Hanley. I put that line in as a joke. It is a line a line from “On the Waterfront” and the post to which I was responding had a line from On the Waterfront. I could understand that some people are not familiar with the less notable movie line that I used. It is one of my favorite movie lines delivered by Lee J. Cobb, “Don’t you understand. They’re dusting off the hot seat for me.”
  4. Another from my fan club chiming in. LOL!
  5. I do like to correct misspellings from time to time, but I didn’t edit any substance.
  6. You are absolutely wrong. I was presuming that it it might have had something to do with his release. I never remotely presumed his guilt on any of it. I didn’t even weigh in on the issue of him smoking pot.
  7. I was wondering how close he was to a return.
  8. Hopefully, it is only a couple of weeks and not more.
  9. The news on Pedroia is not at all promising, but it would be great if he could come back healthy.
  10. i read it, but it was not hindsight for most of us. And calling it “hindsight” is an excuse for him. You read. LOL!
  11. The back story is that he wrenched his knee from all the torque he placed on it turning to watch where the missiles were landing in his last start. He also has a slight case of whiplash.
  12. You are a hopeless apologist for Cora. Even his most ardent defenders copped to that mistake. And BTW, I like Cora, and I think he is best of the crop of first time managers, but he messed up that situation and most of us knew it in real time. Was anyone not cringing when Cruz came to bat that inning? That’s foresight.
  13. Good for you.
  14. You need to go back to the drawing board. You were in the right place, but for the to Wright. It also doesn’t help that Beeks s*** on himself when he was given a chance. He isn’t ready to step in.
  15. Especially in light of Wright going on the DL. I think getting Baez for ERod would be selling high on ERod. Baez has some TNT in his bat.
  16. I am glad to hear that you are capable of learning. Up until now, the fact that you get everything wrong while trolling made me doubt that.
  17. At least we can’t blame this injury on Farrell. That’s a good thing. I guess.
  18. How close is Pon to being ready?
  19. Hmm interesting. In the few minutes since I have read your post, I have gone back and forth on this a few times. I think I like it from the Red Sox standpoint and The Cubs have IF depth.
  20. That’s up to to mods. I have not lobbied them to do anything. An audit of the body of posts of an obnoxious troll may not be a bad idea.
  21. Now you are in backtracking mode. No one did say it. And the only only comments “presuming” guilt were inferences made by you. Don’t put words in the mouths of others. I made no such statement presuming guilt.
  22. At 6 runs with men on base and your CF needing medical attention from running down rockets yielded by Wright and with Cruz drooling to bat again to see if he can hit one further than his last missile, it was not hindsight. It was foresight that disaster was looming. Anyone could see that. It was as clear as the sense of doom felt by the bad guys when Dirty Harry shows up with his .44 Magnum.
  23. Which year. Once he goes out with an injury, he doesn't show up until the following spring. No MLB team will see him until March 2019. LOL!! Slow healer.
  24. Ha. You have got me there. It is possible that the organization felt that $13 million was a good rate for garbage.
