LOL!! He's not a smart anything. national announcers never know the team like the fans. Very annoying. There is an option on MLBTV to choose no announcer feed. You just get the sounds of the game. It is great.

Me too. It may be awful for the players with the catwalks etc and the carpet, but it isn't a terrible place to view a game. And plenty of good cheap seats are always available.

Mickey Mantle was a pretty good base stealer. He didn't run a lot, not even before his knees were crippled, but he had an 80% success ratio. No one talks about his base stealing or his fielding, because you were riveted to his ABs.

Very adequate in LF in Fenway. He plays the caroms well. Strong accurate arm. Makes smart throws.

Should Jackie Bradley Jr be traded?

When Bradley slumped down after that catch, I wasn't sure if he had caught it. Normally, after a catch like that, the fielder pops up and holds out the ball for all to see and to take a bow. -
Beni is better but not by the wide margin like the other 2. Beni's routes to balls are not great. He is still misplaying some balls off the wall and JD has the better more accurate arm and he is not afflicted with head up ass disease like Beni. I have no problem with JD in LF. He doesn't need to be replaced defensively in the late innings in my mind unless it is Bradley who is sitting on the bench.

It was a very pleasant night at Yankee Stadium. It was the most fun that I have had at Yankee Stadium since Pedro out-dueled Rocket on a Sunday night in May. I think that was 1999. It could have been 2000.

More reasons to love JD's game. Last night, he only put 1 home run type swing on a ball, but still managed to 3 hits and 3 RBI. The only out that he made was on hit HR swing. Also, that first inning never happens if he isn't busting it down the line on his ground ball. He busted it hard down the line. It was extremely hot last night. For the National Anthem, each team sent out their coaches and maybe 2 or 3 players. Everyone else stayed in the air conditioned clubhouse.

The grand salami did shut up the crowd and Bradley's catch finished them off. In the first inning with 2 outs, this dope in an ARod jersey about 4 rows in front of me started with the standing nonsense with 2 strikes and 2 outs. He did it when JD was up and then he did it when Moreland went to 2 strikes. It was hot as blazes, and all i could think was if this stupidity caught on, I would have heat exhaustion from standing all game to see the hitter. After Devers grand slam, there was no more standing. BTW, that stupid standing with 2 strikes and 2 outs phenomena started at Yankee Stadium in a game when Guidry k'd 19. I think they were Angels. It was annoying then, and it is still annoying.

Nunez looked awful last night. I had an excellent vantage point to see right handed hitters. Those balls that he wasn't late on he just flailed at. Not only didn't he have a good AB last night, he didn't have one good swing.

It is finally cooling off a bit, because most of the Yankee fans left. It has been a very enjoyable evening. Devers with another hit. Killing it in FanDuel.
