  1. I stepped out and missed that.
  2. I am looking for information on Freddie Peralta of the Brewers. He has been called up for a second time this season. He is 2-0 in 3 starts with a 2.30 ERA. The intriguing stat for me is that he has 25 k's in 15 2/3 innings. The kid is 22 and 5'11" and 168 lbs.
  3. You may have avoided the word, but the accusation was still there, and as I have pointed out, it is not the first time. You have hurled similar accusations at other members. I am not looking for a war with you. When you post about sports, which you do 99% of the time, you are interesting and fun. That other stuff needs to be eliminated. I know a few TalkSox people personally and the rest I only know from the boards — some for many years. They all seem to me to be solid citizens who would be good neighbors and community members. There is no reason to ever make an accusation like that against them, and if cause arises to make such an accusation, the public board is not the place to do it. It is one of the worst accusations that you can make against another person. We should just move on.
  4. They just need to get hot at the right time.
  5. Take your nonsense to a political board. Maybe it is okay to attack the character on political boards. It is unwanted here. This is a sports board where we can debate sports and call each other out for our opinions and we can even occasionally attack the intelligence or knowledge of others, but attacking the character of people here with reprehensible unfounded accusations is over the line. I don't care if Sox75 is your neighbor, you don't know Spud, and you have hurled your poison at him too. Knock off that s*** or you should go somewhere else.
  6. Not a lot, but enough to see that his hands are terrible and his footwork needs a lot of work. In comparing him to Devers, the only plus for Moncada is speed. I think Devers will be the better all around hitter. The metrics around this are inconclusive at this stage in their careers. They both suck in the field, and i don't think the metrics disprove that. They are both young and should improve.
  7. I don't know about drug use, but I would search him first if my laptop went missing.
  8. I don't get Lin leading off.
  9. And never forget that because he is a Yankee fan, he is a douche bag. And that is not some biased generalization. It is just true.
  10. He was last night. LOL!!
  11. Moncada is a butcher at second base from what I have seen.
  12. I read your post before it disappeared. This is just the latest in a line of this BS from Slasher. It is disgusting that he condemns people like he does without knowing them based on his warped interpretation of what he thinks someone is saying.
  13. I was comparing them, because I think we kept the right prospect. We were not going to get Sale without parting with Moncada or Devers.
  14. You can never figure it out.
  15. A 1-0 pitcher’s duel?
  16. We can’t call him a troll, because he has been here in good times and bad for the Yankees. He does like to troll from time to time. I guess we can call out the action, but not condem him as a troll. I just call him what I call every other Yankee fan, “douche bag.” I have more tolerance for Jackie than most Yankees fans, because he roots for his team behind enemy lines like I do.
  17. I really hate when someone does this. ^ It is reprehensible to call out racism on a person who you know nothing about. Sox75 has been very detailed about his experiences with pot and being able to recognize the signs of when someone is high. None of it had to do with skin color. You need to stop this s***. It is very offensive. You have also called out Spud as a racist for using the word "articulate' with regard to a black player. He has used that description about white players too. I know Spud personally, as do others on this board from various racial and ethnic backgrounds. He is no racist, not even subconsciously. I don't know Sox75, but I have had it with this ******** of yours where you make these reprehensible accusations.
  18. and that is why god created alcohol.
  19. That game was a disaster. The Sox had talked him up a lot too. My recollection is that he started a game on a double header day.
  20. I'll keep Devers over Moncada. Moncada has better speed, and he may prove to have more power, but imo Devers is the better pure hitter. Moncada's swing has holes. Devers although he swings from his heels on almost every swing has better plate coverage and is better able to hit the ball where it is pitched. Most guys can't swing that hard and cover the plate that well. With a little more discipline to stay inside the zone, i think he will be a very special hitter.
  21. I told you all that you needed to know about Duda after watching him in person for 20-25 games over the last few seasons and dozens more on TV. Also, I conferred with friends of mine who are Mets Season Ticket Holders. They would gladly have driven him to the airport. Those were all the stats and splits that I needed to be certain in my evaluation that "HE STINKS." He was always streaky, but now that his body is shot it is even worse, because he isn't an everyday player anymore, not even on a platoon basis. 2017 was his last gasp salary drive. Telling me about Duda from Texas while using only stats would be sort of like me telling Emeril Lagasse about cooking while armed with just a recipe. But it was fun.
  22. The team fighting back tonight and coming all the way back from the grave that their manager, Cora dug for them was very uplifting.
  23. I have the King’s Box at Fenway.
  24. The Feds might be dusting off the hot seat for Hanley. I don’t think he will be making trips to the US anytime soon. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/06/hanley-ramirez-denies-knowledge-report-investigation.html Red Sox and Hanley imitating the three blind mice about the investigation. How could Hanley not know. The perp FaceTimed him from the incident.
  25. Max, this is an example of a game where the players pick up the manager. The 2013 team picked up for dumbass Farrell mistakes very often. If we had lost this one,it would have been squarely on Cora. He still has a chance to blow it.
