  1. LOL! Maybe I was in a coma. That was over 3 years ago. He wasn’t very good was my recollection. I am hoping that he can establish some value, so that he can, at the very least, he can be a trade chip.
  2. We never know until we see a report.
  3. We will soon find out if Swihart can catch at the MLB level and whether he has any trade value. He’ll get an opportunity, so that will be good. Hopefully, he doesn’t shot all over himself and we can trade him before the trading deadline.
  4. That’s good. It’s the right thing to say. The douches on Talk Radio were killing him today.
  5. What did Price say after the game?
  6. Tampa would like to move Wilson Ramos for salary relief. He’s having a nice season.
  7. Your strategy is to try to run one of your pitchers out of town when your team has the best record in baseball? That sounds like a sound strategy for disaster.
  8. Holt continues his excellent season making key contributions to the team
  9. And you have not lost your needle.
  10. And I don’t doubt that he was an unlikeable guy, and that is why people wanted to attribute bad out comes to him.
  11. Severino might get the start.
  12. And it is based on nothing but completely unsupported opinion and a desire to exonerate the GM for bad moves.
  13. Division titles are nothing to sneeze at. Before winning back to back Division Titles in 2016 & 2017, we won Division Titles only in 2007 & 2013 since the turn of the Century -- one each for Theo and Ben.
  14. He got arguably the best closer in baseball (and possibly one of the all time best) for 3 years at a below market salary for a bag of balls except maybe for Logan Allen. The others are nothing. That is maximizing value imo. You weren't going to get Sale for that bag of trash.
  15. I noticed in his next AB that he took a big rip and then he rotated the arm and should as if it bothered him, and then he took another big rip on his next swing. I don't think it is anything that will bother him much going forward.
  16. Is there any news after the game on whether Devers hurt his shoulder on the headfirst slide into home plate?
  17. A friend of mine and long time season ticket holder, told me that the Yankees will lose up to 7 prospects under Rule V in December if they don't trade some of them. I expect the Yankees will be wheeling and dealing to maximize the value of these guys before they lose them.
  18. He was meh last year. I wouldn't have wanted him in our starting OF.
  19. Alderson (not Anderson) has stepped down as GM due to a rucurrence of his cancer. Minaya will have greater input on decisions.
  20. He gave up garbage for Kimbrel — guy’s that had no future with the Red Sox and that are still doing nothing for their new team 3 years after they were traded. Maybe Logan Allen in AA will pan out, but the rest have established that they are not going to be anything significant at the MLB level.
  21. You start to fill up your days with things that you want to do. When you are working, most of your time is devoted to the job and there is a tendency to put off things that you really enjoy. Once freed up from the job, you realize that there are so many things that you want to do, and there isn't any excuse not to do them. I don't think retirement is for everyone. Some people don't have interests outside of their job. Their job gives purpose to their lives. They have a tough time adjusting to retirement. Also, people who love and live their jobs shouldn't retire.
