  1. butterball leaving also helped. Many of those mistakes we’re because he sent the runners in ridiculous situations. He would send guys when there were no outs, or he would wave in tank like Leon who who be out by 10 feet or more.
  2. Davis is in the midst of the worst full season be a full time player in the history of the game.
  3. If DD can fix second base, there should be enough to chose from to mix and match at 3rd base from Devers, Nunez and Holt. Maybe Devers or Nunez gets hot like they did down the stretch last season. How has Phillips been developing in the minors. Is he almost ready to come up?
  4. The Internet is a very imperfect communication medium, as it is incapable of portraying the non literal aspects of communication.
  5. Which is my only concern about him being in the field.
  6. Chapman really blew up.
  7. So much for giving me the last word. What a douche.
  8. Have the Red Sox made an announcement that Pomeranz will be joining the rotation next week?
  9. I didn't think that you were trying to disagree with me, and I wasn't being snarky. I just have very bad eyes when it comes to reading. My progressive lenses don't do a good job. Most of the day I am posting on my phone and it is hard for me to just read the posts. Charts and graphs are particularly difficult for me to view on the phone which is why I asked the question.
  10. Smart people learn from their mistakes, but a billion dollar franchise is not the place to learn. Those three last place finishes and falling TV ratings were damaging the franchise. Before Ben, the Red Sox had not offered new season season tickets for a very long time. There had been a waiting list. After 2014 (the second of his last place finishes), season tickets were easy to get. I don't blame that on Ben. I think that was going to happen eventually, but the dead summers of those last place seasons accelerated the process greatly. Lots of season ticket holders got stuck with large bills and couldn't sell their tickets for 1/2 of face value. They dumped their packages in large numbers.
  11. What is it that you want me to see in this graph?
  12. No one hates Ben. He was a very nice guy, and he is a very honest and open guy. He didn’t know jack s*** about pitching and you can’t be a winning team without it. He had to go. It’s that simple. It’s not personal. It’s just business.
  13. I offered no proposal on guns. So stop. I said that Kimmi’s opinion was baseless opinion once, but you and others attacked Spud over it so it got repeated in the argument. But for you, it would have been said once. And that is not an attack. It was noting that on that particular issue that she had nothing to back it up. You are clearly trolling me for weeks and have some sort of axe to grind. You call me “Donald”. You go to political rallies. I go to baseball games. I don’t go to political rallies, and I will go out of my way to avoid political rallies. Seriously, buzz off with your nonsense. I am here to discuss baseball among friends. I am not here to engage in gotcha arguments. Plus, you would be so far out of your league trying to debate me. I wouldn’t care what side of what issue that I had to take. I would expose you as a fool. Smiley face. Have a nice day.
  14. I worry about his health too, but when healthy he is a pretty good guy to roll out there every 5th day even though he doesn’t throw 97-98 anymore. I think that between his 92-93, his command and his experience that he is still very good. There will be the occasional game that he will not have command where he will get blown up. If he remains healthy, I think he will put up close to 200 innings and he will finish with an ERA under 4.
  15. You go to anti-gun rallies. I don’t argue politics here, but I am willing to bet that a politically motivated person is resorting to politically biased data. You have trolled me on two threads so far this morning. You really are pathetic.
  16. Unbiased? The fact that people agree with you doesn’t make them unbiased. They just agree with your bias.
  17. LOL! Funny how that happens.
  18. Or maybe you should look more deeply behind your numbers.
  19. Did Cora make any statement about Porcello not starting a game this weekend?
  20. Shields with anothe good outing tonight: 103 PC, 7 INN, 7 HA, BBI, 5 K, ER, QS
  21. And that is why I could see the Mets hiring him, but he has to work for minimum wage and he will have to agree to join Amway. And he will have to finish last with a much smaller payroll than he had in Boston.
  22. I could see the Mets hiring him.
  23. Where did you see or hear this reported?
  24. Nice win to start the post ASB season. Weak offense or not, price putting up 6 1/3 of scoreless ball is good sign. He looked strong tonight.
  25. That guy almost outran Nunez's tag.
