Criticizing a guy whose team finished first twice in 2 years and is on its way to a 100 plus win season in his third year is just criticism, but criticism of a guy whose team finished last 3 times in 4 seasons is hate.

No one else even comes close, and having that hammer at the end of their bullpen was a main reason why the Yankees consistently went deep into October. Lock down closers make a difference, and you don't dumpster dive for one when you have a $240 million payroll.

The best bullpen in baseball! LOL!
-
Abreu just hit a 2 run 2 out 9th inning HR off Britton to tie the Yankees at 3-3.

I thought that it was the best stuff that Oom had so far this seaso. That isn’t saying a lot, but his velocity was up a tick. The walks were still a problem. Even when Pom was money last year, his starts were torturous. He works slowly and throws a lot of pitches.

He did the job.

Okay Thornburg, you just need to gat an out for every run that you allow and we win the game.

1 Run after 7 innings and 9 runs afterward.
-
Agreed. LOL!
-
He has the best baserunning instincts on the team and as good as anyone in the league. The coaches would only screw him up. LOL!
-
That should make the game bullpen proof!

And Kelly’s

Mookie looking over his shoulder almost lost his footing. Most guys would have face planted if they started tripping like that. He has unbelievable balance.
-
That’s right it was Granderson.
-
He is about 50 years old and his velocity is probably the same as his age.
-
Isn't that the second time that Smoak has smoked Kimbrel?

Heart attack time every night

If there was any such thing as a clutch hitter, he would do the things that JD does. LOL!

The Alex Cora Managerial Decision Thread

Devers should be back any day and Holt will get a rest. He has been playing almost everyday for a few weeks— too much for him. -
JD is something else. What a hitter!
-
That was very close at 2B
-
I don’t like separating the best hitters. JD should be batting right after Betts and Benintendi.
-
Kelly was throwing to the umpire at 2B.

Nice working out of the jam by Workman! Big squander by the Jays.
-
Workman is in a big jam. Luckily, the slowest guy in baseball is on 3B. It will take a deep fly ball to score him.
