    3.1 inn 10 Hits 8 Runs 8 ER 3 BB 1 K That does qualify as horrendous. So far he has had 3 major league outings and they have all qualified as horrendous. I don't think much of Eovaldi. He was a hugely hyped prospect for the Dodgers, but has never come close to living up to that hype. He had one decent year for the Yankees.

    Most of us who questioned why Moreland didn't pinch hit for Bradley also questioned whether Moreland was injured. If Moreland was hurting, the move made more sense. If Moreland was just resting the move made no sense. The fact that the following night that Moreland was sitting against a RHP made it obvious that he must be hurting. no confirmation needed from Cora.

    What is up with Phillips? He hasn't played at Pawtucket in at least a week. My wish list would include getting Adrian Beltre for the stretch run. Edit: He has played 1 game in the last week.

    He was awful. 3 BB's and no k's. He didn't get a lot of swings and misses like he usually does. Just a bad night for him.

    Nunez's knee is still bothering him. After his double and tag up to go to third, he was hurting bad. he was repeatedly flexing his knee and squatting trying to keep it loose. I don't know if the cameras picked that up or if the announcers mentioned it.

    It was pretty telling that in the 7th inning that Cora went to a righty when the Twins had 4 left handed hitters due up in the 7th. That play by Brasier at first was a crazy play to end the inning. It looked like a disaster was about to happen as he went stumbling towards first base. I don't think that I have seen a pitcher take a throw at 1B while falling on top of it. Edit: I was so shocked to see the falling play that I just assumed that it was a clumsy pitcher. it was in fact Pearce.

    Joe West is the HP ump. Ugh! If there is a guy who could mess up a Sale start, it is Joe West.
