  1. Weaker up the middle than last year at 3 of the 4 positions defensively— 2B, SS and CF. Weaker offensively at 3 of those 4 positions - 2B, SS and C. They didn’t add a power stick which was needed. It isn’t an argument that JD and Bogey didn’t provide much power last year. They were weak in that regard in 22 and haven’t addressed it for 23. The pitching will be better only if Sale stays healthy. The rest of the staff is bottom of the rotation garbage. The bullpen couldn’t be worse and has probably improved. If the team has improved overall, I don’t see them winning more than 81 games. There are just too many glaring weaknesses.
  2. This is shaping up as a really bad team. Extremely weak up the middle. No power bats except a guy that strikes out 50% of the time and a starting staff full of fragile arms. They will not do as well as least year.
  3. I was hoping to get Lopez. Dammit!
  4. Tapia is better than Duran. Not a bad move.
  5. Pillar has been taken off the board.
  6. Red Sox To Sign Adam Duvall - MLB Trade Rumors Print the World Series tickets. Bloom really likes signing people in their 30's'
  7. Agreed. The Yankees will not make that trade.
  8. I am glad that he is back, even though I didn’t know that he had left and I didn’t know that we had him at all.
  9. Profar has the Steve Sax yips at 2B
  10. Oh, …. I see the distinction… or do I?
  11. How many surgeries does it take to classify a player as injury prone?
  12. Heee’s a bum, albeit a fast one.
  13. We got him because he had TJ surgery.
  14. Sale, Paxton, Kluber, Whitlock
  15. And it is also true that 4 of our our 5 starting pitchers are extreme injury risks and the other guy is a #4/5.
  16. sounds like Democrats.
  17. Story’s elbow and deteriorating arm strength was a known issue. If we want to absolve the incompetent medical team from improperly addressing the issue in a timely fashion should Bloom also be absolved for not planning to fill the SS hole by resigning Bogey or one of the other top shelf SS’s? There are a lot of excuses going around for this last place organization.
  18. reaching for the Turkey drumstick was the final straw for his elbow?
  19. And sometimes the doctor isn’t very good.
  20. That would be silly. His elbow was a known issue. He didn’t injure it grabbing for a drumstick on Thanksgiving. A competent medical staff would have better assessed his condition and recommended this course of action earlier.
  21. It wouldn’t have mattered, because his trades have also sucked. Eric Hosmer - yuk!
  22. And the general manager is in charge of most of those things. Empty suit Kennedy gets a share of the blame too.
  23. Both on the medical staff of incompetence.
