  1. He would have more success as a rapper. He could corner the Orthodox Jewish rapper market— he’d have weddings and Bar Mitzvahs booked for the next decade.
  2. Explain it to me. Does he have a plan to add any starting pitching… and who are the likely targets? Is he going to sign one of the shortstops or go with Story at SS and move Kike to 2B. Is he going to add any bats? I think he needs 2. He needs 1 OF — 2 if Kike moves to 2B. Are we set at catcher?
  3. I am lost trying to figure out Bloom’s strategy. I think that he is still reeling from having lost out on his #1 target Abreu. He seems to be aimless.
  4. or maybe not. Senga came off the board going to the Mets. But we have Paxton who has made a pretty good living cashing checks on the IL. Well, it was still the DL when he started cashing his checks. And he maybe he will have Sale to hang out with as he has turned into Mr. Glass.
  5. Winning the argument and losing the season is what some would call a Pyrrhic victory.
  6. Or he could just stink, and we have a “Scott Kingery contract” with almost no major league contributions.
  7. That about sums it up.
  8. But we love Bloom’s strategy and philosophy!
  9. I didn’t say that about Bogey, but I can guarantee that JH wants Bloom to get the Red Sox out of last place.
  10. They are lining up the excuses for him and deflecting blame to Henry. If they are fighting for last place at the All Star break again, Henry will not fire himself.
  11. Who Nimmo?
  12. Theo, Ben and DD would not lie to our faces like Bloom. They would not make a public show about trying to retain a player and then not make a competitive effort to retain a player. At Bloom’s introduction to the season ticket holders, he was put on the spot about Mookie. He said that it was the organization’s highest priority to make Mookie a Red Sox for life. A couple of weeks after that statement, the deadline passed for renewing season tickets. Two to three weeks after that renewal deadline, rumors of trading Mookie started to circulate. I told my friends not to worry that Bloom said that Mookie was the top priority. And then he was gone. I can’t trust the man after that. He made Mookie a top priority for 2-3 weeks. That is ********. And he basically pulled the same BS with Bogey.
  13. As a fan, I am more interested in retaining players, so I am not interested in player favorable opt out clauses.
  14. The core of this team was supposed to be Betts, Bogaerts and Devers. How do you let 2 of them go? Very disappointing.
  15. I don’t think Story is a good replacement for Bogey’s bat. We have the knew guy just signed (an unknown performer in MLB), Devers and Story as our top hitters. The rest of the offense is just not competitive. They need at least 2 more quality bats.
  16. Opt outs only benefit the players. I never understand why fans like those clauses. They create the possibility for a hostage situation for the team without any upside for the team.
  17. I guess the momentum that the Red Sox had with Bogaerts was that they were giving him a push out of town. They need more bats now and I don’t know where Bloom is going to find them.
  18. He’s been pretty good for a long time.
  19. 41 Saves and 7 Blown Saves.
  20. Taillon signed with the Cubs.
  21. Does he have any power?
  22. But we love his approach and philosophy.
  23. At the right price if they add a DH too.
  24. I am fine with bringing back Vasquez and Bogey. Then Bloom needs to do some work on the rotation and the corner OF spot with a big bat.
  25. Contreras will be coming off the board soon.
