  1. Yanks go to their 4th pitcher of the night.
  2. Seanez pops up Shelton to end the inning. He pitched well.
  3. Bad bad error by Youk.
  4. This Detroit announcer pronoinces Rudy's last name as Say-ahn-yez.
  5. Seanez puts on the first guy. Go get him and get a real reliever before Detroit pads the lead.
  6. I thought Ortiz got that one.
  7. Rogers worked over our hitters pretty good tonight.
  8. Jeter with no range going up the middle as the ball gets through to score the tying run.
  9. Gullen swinging out of the zone for the third time gets a hit up the middle. THere's no reason to throw these guy strikes, because the swing at everything.
  10. Nice k by Schill on 3-2 pitch.
  11. Millar knocks in a run with aq ground out. 2-0 O's.
  12. I'd like to see Tek go deep.
  13. Pauley to start on Tuesday against the Yankees according to Gordon Edes.
  14. I'll be at that game. I'll give you my first hand account. I hope he doesn't suck like he did at ST.
  15. Williams was actually a pretty good fielder, not great because he didn't have a lot of range. He had really good hands and he played the wall just as well as Yaz. He had a pretty good arm. The weakness in TeddyBallgames's game was not his fielding. It was his base running. Obviously, his fielding didn't compare to his hitting, but he could hold his own in the field, especially at Fenway. Yaz, early in his career, had above average speed. He had a strong accurate arm, and he could play all OF positions, including CF. I think one year he was the oldest starting CF on opening day. If you watched the 1975 ALCS, that was one of the few playoff series that I can remember where an OF beat the other team with his glove. At age 36, he made one big play after another-- diving catches, big throws etc. The weak link in the OF would be Manny, and he is not as bad as people make him out to be. He's no butcher like Mike Greenwell. Williams was above average, and Yaz's (7) Gold Gloves were not over-rated. He was an exceptional fielder who was exceptional in visiting ballparks as well as Fenway
  16. Good move.
  17. By games 6 and 7 every arm in the Yankee pen was a limp noodle.
  18. Farnsworthless!
  19. Sox fans, including the Dirt Dogs, are not deluding themselves that we are getting quality starts from anyone other than Schilling and Beckett and occasionally Wakefield. I find that Yankee fans over rate Wang's performances. I am not seeing the same pitcher they are seeing. I see a guy that is extremely mediocre. Edit: The Dirt Dogs might be changing their minds now that Sheff is on the shelf.
  20. I'm usually a last out guy regardless of the score. I"ll probably stick it out.
  21. You are exactly right. Although it would be more fun or me if the Yankees lost these games, the nightly parade of 5 pitchers will pay dividends down the road.
  22. There's nothing more obnoxious than Yankee Stadium when the Yankees are trouncing the Red Sox. I can't stomach it. BTW What's up with you questioning my fan loyalty?
