    How can you come to such a conclusion about Willis-- that he can't pitch in the AL? On what data are you basing this conclusion? My obsession with him is that he is the best and yuoungest available pitcher playing for a team that seems hell-bent on unloading him. You would rather the Yankees land the guy?

    What is wrong with Beckett? At age 25 Unit was 10 Wins 13 Losses. Beckett at age 25 is 41 wins 34 losses and a WS MVP> He is clearly going down the wrong path.

    The kid might be a good ML pitcher someday, but the FO doesn't think he is ready, and they are not going to eat Clement's contract on a gamble that Pauley can fill his spot.

    He's going to be sent down once Timlin is activated. The Red Sox are not going to DFA Clement for a hope and a prayer with a AAA guy. Tito said today that Pauley is not ready to make 20 starts at the ML level.

    Calm down. I might throw Clement under the bus if we got Clemens, Willis, Lowe, or Schmidt, but I am not ready to throw him away for a AA pitcher.

    WIllis is young pitching, and he is a #1 major league starter with star credentials.He'll cost more than Lester, but if Lester shows alot of promise, maybe the Marlins would settle for Lester and only one other prospect like Pedroia.

    He's 24 years old, and he has 47 major league wins with a .630 winning percentage. He's a stud. Lester is at best a work in progress.

    The Rangers are not a good match for Lester as they light up lefties. Lester will have problems if he continues his tendency to walk batters. I hope he does well and proves me wrong. I don't see him playing a major role this year. Maybe if he puts up a good showing, the Marlins will pull the trigger on a Willis for Lester + deal.

    I dn't see how Schilling got lucky. He gave up very few base runners. 3 hits left the yard, and 1 hit the foul pole.

    ARod is not one to start a controversy, but I am sure that he would quite willingly grab his glove and play SS if Torre asked. He is a much better SS than the 3B. You are sorely mistaken if you think that I am bitter over the Red Sox not getting the Purple-lipped wonder. If we got him, we lose Manny, and Manny was our WS MVP. If we got ARod, we probably don't win the WS in 2004. I like the way things have worked out, and I like that ARod plays 3rd when Jeter is in or out of the lineup.. I am just amazed that you Yankee fans are such hero-worshiping fools that you don't even realize that your defensive lineup is all f***ed up, because the prima dona insists on playing SS. Cano should be playing 3rd. He's a butcher at 3rd with no range. But carry on with your foolishness. "ARod is a 3B and would be out of position at SS. ARod wants to play 3B, etrc. etc." I laugh as the balls go through that sieve of an infield.
