  1. POS Lee up with 2 outs and he k's
  2. Mr. DP does it again with 1st and 3rd in the 1st inning.
  3. It would be hard to fault him on this count so far.
  4. It's definitely not ridiculous. This guy has solidified the infield defense raising it to a level that I have not seen in 39 years. There has also been some clutch production with the stick. The guy is a keeper. Clement's contract is ridiculous. Anything spent on Jason johnson is ridiculous. A 2year 6-8 million contract would be a wise investment.
  5. This will be a really cheap win for Beckett, but Unit got a bunch of thos with the Yankees last year.
  6. It would definitely take a package, but if Hansen is the centerpiece, I say go for it.
  7. I wouldn't trade him if I were the Marlins' GM. However, ORS said that Hansen was convinced that he will be traded for Willis. You say that you wouldn't make the swap because you value Hansen more than Willis, and in the next breath you argue that there is no chance of getting Willis. It seems like you argue out of both sides of your mouth. The discussion was whether D-Train would be a good acquisition for Hansen. Whether it can be done was irrelevant to the discussion. I also don't think the Marlins should move him, but apparently Hansen thinks it will happen. Whether it does or doesn't happen is irrelevant because the discussion is admittedly hypothetical.
  8. If you add a pitcher to the rotation that takes you deep into the 7th and 8th innings every fifth day ( replacing guys that have been giving us 4 innings) would make a big difference by taking a lot of strain off the pen. I don't think too many GM's would agree with you on this one.
  9. I like Hansen but I don't see how you can think the Sox need him more than the D-Train in "06.
  10. No he should keep a clutch hitter in the 5th slot that has a high OBP, knows how to hit situationally and doesn't K much. It's very tough on pitchers to face Nixon after putting the two studs on base.
  11. C'mon Nixon, go for the salami and calm down JSinger about your power production.
  12. We need a starter. We are forfeiting once every 5 days and Wakefield's back is kicking up. We still got MDC who is looking more dependable than Hansen right now. Also got Timlin and Paps. Rudy and Tavaqrez get to split garbage time.
  13. I was at two of those games, and he was used in back to back games. He looked good. Getting Willis would be the blockbuster that I'd love to see. He's the s*** -- the D-Train. A young stud that knows a lot about pitching.
  14. Nixon with another clutch catch. Let's let him walk after the season. f*** him Let all the key guys from '04 go. Better yet, dump him for a prospect at the trading deadline.
  15. I feel better-- a little
  16. Beckett just couldn't pitch with a lead today. I don't like this Lopez move though. It makes me extremely nervous. Thome can take an outside pitch a mile to the opposite field. I don't know if Lopez has the nerves for this situation.
  17. Cora has established himself as this teams best bench player -- a super-sub.
  18. Very tasty as I had hoped.
  19. It worked... the reverse hex.
  20. Belli is an embarrassment as a hitter.
  21. Pitching on throwing day before the All Star break is still fairly common. The Mets used to throw Seaver in relief before the Break every year.
