    I am still pinching myself about JJ the loser. Edit: He's only thrown 90 pitches. I'd let him go out for the 7th. He seems to be in a really good grove. I'm not worried about burning him out for the stretch run, because he should be DFA in a couple of weeks.

    Remy and Orsillo are talking about the MVP race being between Ortiz and Jeter. The NY Press and Yankee announcers are talking this up. Don't tell me that we are going to have to listen to this argument about playing defense again. They can't be serious. DJ is a SS with very limited range, and offensively there is absolutely no comparison. None, zip, zilch, nada. I hope this doesn't turn into one of those years like 1942 when Joe Gordon of the Yankees beat Ted Williams.

    The kid is scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as his value to other teams. No one is asking about him or talking about him. A couple of years ago, everyone was asking the Dodgers about him.

    Edwin Jackson is on for TB. He was a highly touted young prospect sought after by many teams in trade talks. The Dodgers held on to him a little too long. They could have gotten a load for him if they had traded him before he was exposed.

    He does have a 21 game hitting streak. He's hitting insane right now with 31 HRs over 90 RBI. You should be looking at everyone after him in the lineup.
